No, it’s not over. But it becomes harder for a challenger to Romney to make his case with Run Paul using non Republican voters to come in second in Iowa and New Hampshire. If the trend continues and Gov Perry finishes with 1% in NH, he’ll have a hard time raising money. Newt’s found a sugar daddy with lots of dough, but how long that guy will give him money while he attacks capitalism is going to be a real challenge for Newt. Santorum a second place finish by former Senator Sanatorum might strengthen his ability to challenge Romney, but that would mean Newt and Perry would need to get out. That’s not going to happen.

The only part of a segment I heard on Rush today was when he was really hammering Romney and I said to my secretary what didn’t he bring all this our earlier, I had never heard of some of the things he bashed Romney on.

So you’re right Nik didn’t listen to the part of Rush’s show I heard.

I heard Rush today and he was spot on regarding Newt. Newt said what he said but he’ll probably go on some show and try to spin his way out of it yet again.

I bet that felt good. I'm with you on Romney. He never won Iowa, it was given to him. I watched all the people you mentioned plus 99% of fox news betray conservatives. Now we know all those people put party and the money they are making ahead of fighting for conservative principals and for this country. They want a rino then they will find a third party conservative running against their golden boy.

Yes, it is frustrating that in a country of over 300 million people this is the best we can come up with for GOP candidates. There is NOT one single candidate who stands head and shoulders above the rest, and several who should not be wasting our time by running. It is also sad that in a country such as ours we have a pretender in the White House. That we have members of congress who believe that a European style economy and social system is better than what our Founding Father's brought us. That the ability to defend one’s self, family, and home should be abandoned in favor of giving total control to the government. Frustrated? Most of us on FR feel your pain. Actually, we share you pain. I do not know who will ultimately win the GOP nomination. I know who I don't want to be the nominee, but as of right now I do not have a clear candidate I feel I can vote for. Perhaps in the next few primaries someone will emerge as a truly deserving leader. I really hope that is the case.

From Wikipedia:

Coulter stated that, "I'm a Christian first and a mean-spirited, bigoted conservative second, and don't you ever forget it."

Hahaha....obvioiusly I’ve struck a cord...

We’re all on this forum... fat... dumb and happy...

We think that Obama is an easy target with no chance of winning...another term... and then today...we see where...it is in the interest of people like Rush and the rest to keep the little bas*ard in office...

Wake up, people... we’ve been sold down the road....

Romney is no better than Obama... maybe even worse...

Bottom line... either support someone to keep Romneys from getting the nomination or bug off...YOur insults against me mean nothing..

It's those shifty ambidextrous ones you have to watch out for.

My grandmother became left handed a few years ago. I told her that she can't keep using that "stroke" as an excuse forever. LOL

Thank you. At this time he’s preparing to rotate back to his post in Hawaii. He’s going to be leaving Afghanistan three months early.

maybe we need for like the vast majority of us here to have a hissy fit.. instead of filing like cattle behind Mitt Romneys....

Why don't you post the list of the vast number of FReepers that are Romney fans and ping me to it.

I would have to say it doesn’t take much to convert the French to anything.
And I have to agree....between the Republican party and Fox news and the rest of the msm, there was no chance for anybody else to get in. Romneycare was and is their anointed one, just as McCain was in 2008. I am wondering if the conservatives are going to sit this election out also. Or will we hold our noses and vote for this boring candidate?

I wish Newt had kept it positive. As much as people have encouraged the candidates to focus on Zero, no one seems to listen.

Liberalism is our enemy. Zero is just Present - hardly wants to bother with working, and has used the White House as his personal vacation and party club. He does rise to the occasion to whine when faced with a challenge, then demands everyone comes to him to 'negotiate' about it, which of course just means Zero tells them what he wants them to do.

Mittens is a liberal, former governor of a liberal state, and the only one running on who has successfully encumbered a state's voters with the debt of socialized medicine, and signed the law to permit gays to corrupt the ceremony of marriage. He's also signed the law that prevented people from refusing to accept those sham homosexual shackups, and required private land owners to accommodate the requests of those wishing to corrupt marriage even more.

Zero has accomplished NONE of these things. So I'm standing and applauding each and every attack by Newt against the only liberal in the race who HAS done these things in the past, and will do it again if elected president.

I would hold off on jumping off a bridge until at least we have primaries in 55 or 56 of the states.

If Stinky B.O. can't manage to steal a win against whoever he runs against in November with just those 57 states, I'm guessing he may have to add a few more states here and there in order to ensure his victory somehow.

We may be up to 65 or 70 states or more before this thing is over.
