There were giants, then.
Thanks for posting. Yes, they were giants.
I am very much looking forward to this movie, which I so rarely say these days.
Every time I see pictures of them I tear up a little.
Times were much better then. The world made sense.
Now...
I want to see the film as well. I know there was some criticism of showing her now etc. and how that might be exaggerated, but most of the film is about her political life. And as for showing stuff now, it’s part of life and as long as that’t not a central part of the film, I won’t be upset.
So do I.
And even our enemies had standards, such as not storming an embassy and taking diplomats prisoner.
I am very much looking forward to this movie, which I so rarely say these days.
Here’s another trailer:

All three are riveting.
My pleasure and honor. We shall not see their likes again, more’s the pity.
Great photo. Thanks for the post. Yes, there were giants then. But as in all the great crises of our beloved nation ordinary men and women rose to the challenge. It will be so again. Giants will again appear to lead us. I believe that to the depths of my soul.
Bambi and Klintoon are giants, too.
Aren’t they?
"I usually make up my mind about a man in ten seconds, and I very rarely change it." ~Margaret Thatcher
We knew who we were back then.
How I miss the Gipper...
What is the concensus on the film? Is it a hit piece or favorable (realistic)?
When I think of how our country has changed, it is close to overwhelming.
We had such heroes in the past, and never imagined that it would come to this.
I don't know. The world was still screwed up from Carter and LBJ, but getting better. And don't forget John Paul II.
I haven’t paid much attention, I figured this would be another hit-piece like the TV-movie they did about Reagan about 10 years ago.
Reagan was my Commander-in-Chief.
Just look at the sickly communist piece of feces we have in the White House now. Man, take me back to the '80s.
“Bambi and Klintoon are giants, too. Arent they?”
I have to believe that out there, somewhere is a man or a woman who will come to the front one day and turn the socialistic tide that is threatening to overwhelm us.
Because if I can’t believe that, then I’m not sure why to get up in the morning or why to continue to operate in a country who doesn’t want the likes of me, a patriot, a Christian, a lover of liberty.
It is not at all surprising that an actress the caliber of Meryl Streep could pull this off.
She is really, really good.
And it just occurred to me that I don’t ever remember Streep being a political big mouth. I mean, maybe she is a low-profile activist of some kind, but the point is that I’ve never heard or read anything about it if she is. To which I say, “Good for her.” Smart.
