Small footprint, capacity plus...
We are living in perilous times. Thanks to Jim Bakker's obedience to tell people to be prepared, my sister will be ready when calamity strikes. Will you?
Then you definitely need to go to a good shooting range where you can rent guns and get some instruction.
By the way, don't worry about clips and safeties, etc. Start with a simple double action revolver and work up from there.

No as a matter of fact I just ordered it today. Having it sent to a FFL dealer near where I live. He could not even come close to the price I found on-line. Close to $500 delivered and my FFL only charges $20 to transfer it to me. I'm waiting on my CCW permit which I registered for on 12/27/11.
I did a lot of reading and the PPS is suppose to have an excellent trigger pull and a short reset. You can get the PPS in .40 cal too, but I went with the 9mm because I already have a Glock 19 Gen 4 9mm. When I get to the range I'll report back.
Still got mine and it still works fine. The first gun my father got me.

If it's okay with your mom, you can come over and play with mine. And my Johnny Seven OMA.
