Newt is my fallback. I am for Cain. If neither of them make it to my states’ caucus, I simply will not participate.

If you like Newt, fine, but don’t start casting dispersions on Cain just to bump up your candidate. That’s just wrong.

(Vanity) Anyone else come full circle on Newt Gingrich?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
anyone else come full circle on the republican party?
for instance, when I voted for GWbush the second time, I thought they still had hope. Now I’ve come full circle.
I’m pretty close to being “with you”.
I want to see Newt start showing some real understanding of what the Tea Party wants, needs and expects from a candidate they can get behind, without pandering to them (us).
I’d like to see Cain as his Veep, if his support stops
growing.
Without the Tea Party vote no Republican has a chance of winning.
Romney isn’t going to get that vote.
Romney will more likely be getting lots of votes from
Dems and Independents disenchanted with Obama and embarrassed that they ever voted for him. They will in effect be electing another Dem, and we’ll all be pretty much back to Square One.
I think I like Newt better than the rest right now.
No way, no how. The guy is sharp with populist politics leaning right; but the long haul he is just not dependable.
Will perry or newt telephone Sarah? Will Sarah enter on her own? Who will Sarah return the phone call to, Perry or Newt?
I’ll support him as the nominee but will still vote Cain in the primary.
If he gets nominated I will hope his bout with brain damage that sent him to Pelosi’s couch will have passed.
out of the known candidates, I halfheartedly support Newt.
I have to admit that if Allen West changed his mind or Sarah Palin changed hers, I’d wholeheartedly be in support.
After kicking the tires on every other car in the lot, I am sold on Newt as well.
I’m with you 100% except that part about Ron Paul: some days I think he’s crazy, some days I just don’t get out of bed at all...
Newt annoyed the hell out of me back when he resigned from Congress immediately after the election, thus giving his seat in a safely-GOP district to a Dimocrat, by the appointment of Georgia Governor Sonny Purdue. If he’d resigned a few weeks sooner, we could have elected a Republican!
But now he’s by far the best of a lousy bunch.
If he clearly promises not to push “limited amnesty’ and global warming bs anymore, I would probably join the Newt bandwagon.
At the moment, he is clear and present danger to country, given his perryesque amnesty push.
Newt—because we need another President who was born in Pennsylvania.
Full circle.
Newt’s our best bet.
Warts and all.
He can win. Gingrich/Cain works for me.
I’ve gone about 540 degrees on him. Liked him; disliked him; liked him a bit; would never consider voting for him.
No to Newt at the top of the ticket. I won’t go into the details right now, but he is not in alignment with TEA and not a movement conservative. We’re nearly guaranteed to have to spend money and time fighting him if we’re dumb enough to put him in the WH. He was a big part of what was going on in DC, and more specifically with the Republican Party, that led to Ross Perot’s 3rd party run. He’s smarter and more eloquent than Perry, but not any more trustworthy - maybe less so.
He could be useful as VP, but if he’s the pubbie nominee, I may find a 3rd party candidate to get behind.
I’d vote for Newt.
Had Cain pegged from the beginnng...he’s way over his head. He’d be a good Secretary of....something. Nothing more.
Newt/Bachmann or Newt/Santorum
