Let’s just say, for argument’s sake that everything you’re saying here is true.
Neither of the men were on the field. Neither of them hit the game winning homer in the bottom of the 11th, game 6. Neither of them were wearing a glove, throwing a ball, or wielding a bat in any game of the WS, that I saw.
So Larussa could have been in the dugout snorting cocaine, and doing bong hits, and McGuire shooting up heroin, but how exactly does that drive in the winning run, or out-pitch the opposing pitcher? It matters exactly zilch, zero, nada. So even if what you’re saying is true, it had NO EFFECT on the outcome of the World Series.

Paterno is a disgrace, and has forever besmirched college football.
Tony LaRussa also failed to report to law enforcement apparent criminal conduct which occurred in the team locker room and involved a prominent member of the organization.
Like Paterno, LaRussa is a disgrace and has besmirched MLB forever. He should never be allowed in the HOF.
