I think the lack of fuss is because these “days of rage” have been singularly underwhelming.
Let them ruin themselves. This is not 1968.
There have been several threads about it.
They’ll go home when it gets cold.
The lefties HAVE done a pretty good job of impressing each other, however...
Bernie Sanders (communist Vermont) loves it.
I agree that that they shouldn’t be underestimated. They arrested 800-900 yesterday for blocking the Brooklyn Bridge.
I just wonder who will get the contract for scooping the poop at Zuccotti park?
I’ve been on the social media sites and while there may only be a few lunatics marching across the bridges etc. - what I see happening is the mainstreaming of the “kill the bankers” meme by mainstream thinkers and commentators. What Roseanne Barr said was not necessarily way out in left field - she’s picking up on this sentiment that is building and I feel is being manipulated.
It’s all over the social media sites this weekend. I fear for the Republic.
A hundred dirty people, in a park, in lower Manhatten.
Not a story.
Unless you work for the NYT, MSNBC our Fox News Radio.
By the way, does anyone doubt the WH is behind this?
I’ve been trying to find “Mother Sheehan’s” address to the protesters on YouTube.
Or when a good noreastern rolls in. But then again, it might be the first shower some of these dregs have had in a month!
Funny how these fools never got the memo about not getting a second chance to make a first impression.
Too silly to justify much indignation.
Yes. These lame demonstrations are attracting few people and their message is not resonating. It's a joke.
I think most people don’t give a crap as it’s the weekend. The street sweepers will have it spic and span for opening bell tomorrow.
It’s called “organizing a community”. Mr. Soetoro taught these techniques to ACORN and others.
Yes, and Mark Pouffe’s interview on FNC.
Basically, they’ve given up promising that soaking the rich will bail us out of our debt but at least we’ll all feel better.
They want their own version of Cairo right here. Get a bunch of unemployed college students in the public square and then deluge the social media sites, then rinse, lather, repeat.
Sure, maybe this will all fizzle out. But then again, maybe it won’t.
I also sense that the more the left senses defeat in 2012 the more this sort of thing will be amped up to a fever pitch, helped along by unions, media, social networking etc.
