I find it hard to respect people who want others to do the hardest work fror them;and defending against the variety of bad men and evil empires is the hardest work I know.
I don’t think that’s the reason they’re thinking.
Hippies are a different matter.
In the interest of full disclosure, I am a former Mennonite and a Goshen grad, class of 1990. As far as I know they do not have a football team. Soccer, basketball, baseball, field hockey, softball, track and field.
Goshen does have a number of students from non-Mennonite churches and backgrounds. They tried to accommodate the other students and schools who appreciate the anthem being played before the sporting events took place. I guess enough well-healed alumni complained, so the president reversed course.
The Mennonite Church has long held the peace position, but only recently has the church taken the position that pacifism equates to social activism. Many of the profs were conscientious objectors who have now been granted tenure and indoctrinate the student body. The Mennonite Church is only a few years behind the United Church of Christ and Unitarian Universalists in their liberalism. It greatly saddens me.
After that they're going to get rid of the Declaration of Independence because it mentions Our Creator, which offends atheists.
Finally they're going to declare the Constitution null and void because it was written by white racist slave owners.
All I can say is THANK GOD THESE AMERICA HATING LIBTARD BASTARDS DIDN'T FOUND THE UNITED STATES AND WRITE THE CONSTITUTION!
Jesus THREW the moneychangers out of the Temple.
;-)
And also mentioned a sword, etc.
Jesus wasn’t beyond showing might (but hey, He was God), but he wasn’t big on it with the mere humans.
