How long before the real Casey Anthony comes back out?

I guess everyone has their own way of grieving.

I agree, that is very short, and I don’t believe they took the proper time to consider all evidence, so I don’t know how they came to such a conclusion either.

But it is the system we have and, as all things human, we won’t ever get it right all the time.

When she walks out on the 17th, you won't see that 'librarian look' anymore.

I could not agree with you more. For all the compliments I had for the way Judge Perry handled his courtroom, I was stunned he allowed the defense in their closing arguments to spend over 3 hours continuing to make wild accusations and hint at involvement of George Anthony. Perry only barred the defense from accusing him of sexual molestation.

Baez spent over 3 hours of his closing accusing George Anthony of everything except being a white man only to admit in the middle of his rant there was “absolutely no evidence” that GA was involved.

It’s mind-blowing that jurors who listened to the same closing remarks still claim GA was involved or sexually abused his daughter; as do many of those who are defending this juries verdict.

Throwing handfuls of crap against a wall to see what sticks should not be allowed, nor should either side be able to defame the reputation of another person when they acknowledge that person had no involvement with the crime being adjudicated.

just that the prosecution overreached.

Oh really...in what way since they could have found her guilty of the other counts. So No, the prosecution didn't overreach....your arguement has no weight...you're just quoting what some of the news journalists have attempted to argue..and they failed as well to prove their point.

Try not to argue with these fools, Miz. They listen to Judge Napolitano and Mark Levin - both, of whom, got this case wrong.

You are right and the jury came to a terrible decision and will have to live with the consequences as will CA.

You are a buffoon too.

I don't think I can deny that. At times, anyway. Have a good day, yankee.

Years ago, within the first year or so of being a freeper (class of 2001), there was a child abduction, rape and murder in Arizona, IIRC. An older gentleman accused of the rape and murder, also IIRC.

One of the TV watchers, in response to those who clamored that he was guilty as sin (and he was so found), suggested that he was innocent because she had looked into his eyes (on tv).

I don’t know how or why some become so invested in cases they have no actual connection to, but watch on TV and assume that they are as well informed as anyone actually involved in the case.

For the record, I sure thought Casey was guilty, and would not have been surprised by a guilty verdict, but also was not surprised by the not guilty verdict.

Unlike many on this forum I did not follow this trial at all

A common denominator running through all of the Casey Anthony threads is that the vast number who think the jury are a bunch of lazy idiots (myself included) WATCHED the trial.

Well stated, I too thought she was guilty but she walks free. In this case a little girl died and the possible murderer is walking free.

Revamp the jury system or force defendants to prove their innocence as has been proposed on this thread and many more cases of injustice will occur.

And all the soap opera National Enquirer BS hype that went with it.

But of course this didn't affect your opinion at all.

<><><><><<

What I’ve not seen referenced in the TV watchers commentary about the lazy idiot jurors (the tv watchers terms, not mine) is that the TV watchers saw things the jury was not permitted to hear or see, when the jury was sent out of the court room. And the TV watchers were free to discuss it with anyone they chose, and to read and watch whatever reports/commentary they chose.

Have y’all asked yourself how much of that unseen by the jurors info swayed your opinion on the verdict?

I ask that of the 2 or 3 of them whose mind were not made up before the trial started.

If it did, maybe we should hang him. Got to be someone round here that needs some hangin.
