I never thought of the Revolution in terms of Feudal society before. Yeah, I know it was against a “king” and all, but I mean thinking of the entire feudal system. And also the first time I ever thought “Man, 1760. That isn’t all that removed from 1500, the middle ages.”
We were pretty lucky the old English aristocracy wasn’t interested in moving to America. We never had the rigid class system the Spanish colonies had and the problems it created to this day.
