I have the LCR .38 as a pocket pistol. With defense rounds you shouldn’t need but a couple of shots to put someone down.

Just purchased the LCR a few weeks ago. We went through three boxes of regular .38’s—no +p’s-—and got great reports from everyone, including myself. My 80 year old dad, who can outshoot us all, liked it, my 20 year old son was impressed and I really liked the trigger pull.

I shot at least 3 cylinders at rapid fire close range—about 10 feet. They all ended up in a dinner plate sized area. I will try some +p’s next time. Hope this helps.

I have a S&W airweight .38 special. Seems to be very tough and idiot proof. Size is very concealable, but that also means a smaller handle.

I highly recommend that anyone with a .380 or 9mm look at this ammo:

I have the 38 LCR and it’s my main carry. I’m more accurate with my 1911 EMP, but the LCR is so light it’s easy to carry in any coat pocket. The recoil stings, so I’m not even tempted to get a 357 version.

I just got this particular model to replace a Keltec 380. The Ruger LCR is lightweight for concealed carry, and the grip is extremely comfortable. I love it!
