Well!
Thank you both! I’ll let you know if there are any returns to be returned. Otherwise, I won’t be returning much except a used birthday candle...
I hope the candle was tasty!
Bill and Tom are home from the Diocesan Youth Conference. Bill went to bed.
The great planetary mega draught event.
Or, The Day the oceans resembled a Guinness Stout!”
Homer described a "wine-dark sea", which I think sounds somewhat better than "beer-colored".
Where is that?

“Rage of Poseidon” by Apocalyptica.
May be useful when describing the oceans being swallowed.
And what will we do with it?
We will be buried in the sands of time like every other civilization before us. ;-)
I want to hear about both of those meals when you get a chance. What fun!
Yup. Unless it all Wraps Up, someday they'll be digging up the remains of my boring suburb, wondering about the use of the raised garden beds - giant cat boxes for giant catz? - and the pergola, and "Golly, those people drank a lot of wine!"
Tell those folks I said Hey, NnB, although it’s not my birthday.
Didn’t eat the candle. It was rather tasteless and waxy-feeling. The BD cake that was brought by the Sister Contingent has yet to be tasted.
However, I’ve pledged to find a doll, clothes, a tea set, and a backpack to keep them here for my great neice’s enjoyment while she’s visiting.
When they were getting ready to leave, she saw my new socks and managed to put one of them on me, then the shoe that matches the foot, and said, “Let’s go, Nana! Put your sock on!”
If you don’t remember what irritated you last week, it wasn’t worth the irritation.
;o]
We used to have a nice tea set, but Anoreth wasn’t a tea-party type girl. Now she is, of course, but it’s the political sort ...
I’ll check The Salvation Army. I need to go by there this week.
Happy Birthday, ‘Face!
Thanks, sion! Welcome home!!
*hugs around*
Thanks, TC! I won’t get to go by the thrift store until a week from tomorrow, on my way back from my ultrasound. I may not have anything to spend there!
I’ll try to save some pennies so I can at least find SOMEthing girly for the little redhead.
(I’m SO in love with that little girl!)
{Is that redundant?}
Don't remember much about either. One was good and tasty (esp the steak), though definitely not American. As I recall there was something wrong with the theme -- Southwest with Plains Indians, or something like that.
The other was set up on an American diner theme, and the menus looked a lot (but not completely) like what you'd see in an American diner. But whatever I ordered was only somewhat recognizable, and taste not to my liking.
Things did not go smoothly, or maybe I should say perfectly, but I got here. Now begins the fun task of getting back on home time; I stay in this time zone until June 1st.
If you ever get the chance to to taste sage hen on an authentic Native American menu, take it. You will not be disappointed. (As long as it’s in North America!)
Maybe a pretty scarf or some princess dress-up items would be in your thrift store. I need a white t-shirt and a red t-shirt, so I’ll be in the racks at TSA, maybe for the half-price sale on Wednesday. Bill will take me if I say I’ll let him drive ...
