I'm a bully?

You attacked me. Now you're playing the victim.

Amazing.

I know its hard not to respond when attacked or belittled

At FR it's considered good and polite form to ping a poster when you're talking about him.

This person attacked me out of the blue and unaddressed.

Scotty is absolutely a genius.
He has enormous talent, a magnificent voice but doesn’t get stuck in a rut.
What he did with the R’n’B “For Once in My Life” was one of the best performances of the season.

The Scotty and Lauren duet another highlight of the season, I think due to Scotty’s leadership.

I hope no one does Over the Rainbow. Its been done to death.

James - WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE by Guns N' Roses from the movie Lean on Me or BAD TO THE BONE by George Thorogood & The Destroyers from the movie Christine

Haley - SON OF A PREACHER MAN by Dusty Springfield from the movie Pulp Fiction

Lauren - HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO by Bonnie Tyler from Footloose

Jacob - OL' MAN RIVER by J.Kern O. Hammerstein II from Showboat or YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE from Carousel

Paul - SOUND OF SILENCE by Simon and Garfunkle from The Graduate

Stefano - HEAVEN by Bryan Adams from A Night in Heaven

Casey - JUST DROPPED IN (TO SEE WHAT CONDITION MY CONDITION WAS IN) by FIRST EDITION from the move the The Big Lebowski

Scotty - I'M A MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW by Soggy Bottom Boys from O Brother Where Art Thou

As for As Time Goes By, I could see Scotty doing that one and even Stefano, maybe even Lauren.

I’m embarrassed to say the only movie I have seen on your list of movies (songs) is “Wizard of Oz”.

I am very embarrassed to say I haven’t seen “Casablanca”. My hubby says I am the only person left in the world who hasn’t seen it. LOL!

I think you are probably correct in saying we will hear “Mrs. Robinson”. I just have that feeling.

I’m sure Jacob will sing something that will make my husband say, “Oh no....please not that!”.

Everything you said was correct.

I had my little meltdown with a troll yesterday, but woke up realizing my mistake.

Sorry to all on the thread for feeding the troll and getting angry in return.

Since I said goodbye to all, but am now back.....Hello to everyone!

I like Jacob best when he sings gospel type music. O thought he could do well with Shout as well. He could do a lot of songs. Some I listened to though needed lyric changes. Imo, he wasn’t going to do well with songs pining for women, or changing the lyrics to pining for men. jmo So, I tried to keep it where I thought he excelled. I suppose he could do Cabaret!

With Paul, I hate his voice, so the problem was picking something his voice might fit in with. I absolutely hated what he did with Folsom Prison Blues.

While looking around at you tube I came across a video of Neil Diamond singing the National Anthem. Hated it, and he’s one of my favorite singers. I was very disappointed.

The biggest problem was not picking boring songs, depressing songs, songs about going home....

Welcome back! :) Think of trolls like internet terrorists, if you let them keep you from posting, or they succeed in chasing you away then they win.

It might take awhile but if their posts fail to get a response they eventually go away. I think they thrive on responses like the flashers of the 70’s.

Guess there are lotsa singers at FR who like to talk about music when they’re not singing. I’m done w/community concerts until next fall if I go back. They keep raising their fee and gas is kinda high to go to rehearsals every week. I can sing for my pets instead.

Maybe you’d like to get involved singing at Senior Homes or Children’s Hospitals. They always appreciate musical volunteers.

Pia has to do the group cd with AI and maybe there will be a Christmas cd but sometimes, there isn’t. Since i-tunes, they put it all there and that’s what 1.29 per song? That takes a lot of downloads. I’ve never downloaded an idol. I bought Kelly Clarkson cds, a karaoke cd and a Christmas cd for an early season. I like Carrie Underwood’s songs too but haven’t purchased. She likes to key cars in her songs. : )
