I know. Raining now. Snow overnight and morning. Got a check engine light for leaving the gas cap loose... the silly thing turned off traction control, skid control, and reactive suspension control. Mercifully, it did leave the headlights and abs available. I hooked my analyzer up, got the vapor leak error code and reset the fool thing on the spot. I’m leaving that device in the car. I’m driving on NO glazed freeway without my traction cheats!

Trevor Bayne will be appearing here in Knoxville tomorrow night at the Food City Race Night event. I'm trying to decide if I want to get into that cattle stampede or not!

After they won Daytona I heard the owner say they now had enough money to go to Bristol.

What kind of gizmo vehicle you driving there Grock? All kinds of automatic control things that fail if your gas cap is loose? Heck, NASCAR is still running push rod engines and no gas caps at all and they still run fine as long as they aren’t crashin’ or letting the smoke out of the engine. Are you in need of an under-bumper slug juice sprayer so you can spin out those pesky tailgaters?

Jeff Byrd Food City 500. Jeff Byrd was the owner of Bristol Speedway and the adjacent NHRA drag strip. He lost a long battle with cancer last year. He increased seating at the NASCAR oval from 67,000 to 160,000 and improved facilities at the NHRA track as well.
