FNC can’t have someone who doesn’t even pretend that the left is legitimate
I don’t have any feelings, good or bad about Beck, but I’ll be the 1st to leave if they replace him with Oberman.
Most posters here seem to think this is a move on Fox’s part - what if its Beck that is making the move?
Who is Carr?
That would be far more of a mistake foe FNC than for Beck right now. What exactly does Roger Ailes think he’s doing? There have been several dumb moves at FoxNews lately.
No protest. FOX choose a Side and live with it,I really want to see what side you fall on.
Don’t forget who owns about 20% of Fox!
Watch the ratings for MSNBC go up and FOX go down.
if beck leaves the left would be giddy
If FNC drops Beck, they better bring back John Gibson, a solid conservative, who had Beck’s slot for years before him on the channel.
He started an extreme wheat grass diet, I wonder if his health issues are part of this.
Judging from the comments on this thread, I’m in the minority, but I think Beck escaped the reservation months ago. He’s acting like a manic/depressive. It puts me in mind of the “outres” of the 50s and 60s when there was a Russian under every bed. We need to be vigilant, but Beck is hyperventilating. In my humble opinion to be sure. Have at it. sd
FOX has its marching orders and they are primarily to bash the Tea Party and get Mittwit elected.
This came from the liberal rag NYT?
Enough said..
I posted here a week or so ago when Oprah was loosing $ that he would buy her channel on the cheap when she goes chapter 11.
Too soon for that, but He is following her business model.
IMHO he wants his own empire, he has a website, a radio show, the Insiders and now "The Blaze".
It is not enough for him, he is driven. My guess he is looking to lauch his own channel on cable or the Web.
He is constantly hinting on the radio show of new things.
My gut tells me we haven't seen the last of him, he will appear on his own channel, whether it is cable, space-based, internet based ( my guess the latter) is yet to be seen.
Beck is okay, but he’s become very preachy, apocalyptic and sort of disjointed. He rambles between a connection here and link there, and doesn’t stay focused long enough for it to mean anything. One gets the impression watching his show that he believes end times are upon us and that absolutely nothing good can come out of pretty much anything.
His seemingly overwhelmingly negative view of the revolutions in North Africa and the Middle East, that they are somehow entirely Islamo/Marxist driven events is dubious. Yes, there are some links and connections with radical Islamists and far left groups, but they are but a piece of the puzzle. He is completely right to be wary and concerned, but he doesn’t seem to allow for the possibility that any this will all turn out okay in the long run.
I get the impression that he has become more a preacher warning of the apocalypse than of a news commentator.
I suspect a lot of the Republican establishment and maybe some movement conservatives are concerned that Beck has become a little weird and don’t want to be associated with him as much. Perhaps they are communicating this to Ailes.
