“Sleepy Lagoon” by Harry James

I actually like this instrumental better than the Dinah Shore and Doris Day vocal versions

Sorry, but I’m a man and about 90% of these songs make me nauseous.

In that case, this one's for you:

Paradise by the Dashboard Light - Meatloaf

Shame on ya. Where are the girls?

I'm sorry. Just the thought of "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" by Elvis Presley affected the chemoreceptor trigger zone at the base of the fourth ventricle of my brain. Stimulation of numerous dopamine D2 receptors, serotonin 5-HT3 receptors, opioid receptors, acetylcholine receptors, and receptors for substance P led to emesis and subsequent dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.

So, am I forgiven?

Most romantic song? "Like a Coat From the Cold," the song Guy Clark wrote for his wife Joanna, when he had no money for a wedding present.

The chorus:

"But the lady beside me is the one I have chosen

To walk through life with me like a coat from the cold."

Didn’t remember that one till I went to YouTube.
Had to look her up.
Performed twice in the White House. Impressive.
Sadly passed away in ‘95 from Crones disease.

I have a soft spot for Dean Martin's "Volare".

Volare, oh oh E Cantare, oh oh oh oh Let's fly way up to the clouds Away from the maddening crowds We can sing in the glow of a star that I know of Where lovers enjoy peace of mind Let us leave the confusion and all disillusion behind Just like bird of a feather, a rainbow together we'll find

Volare, oh oh E contare, oh oh oh oh No wonder my happy heart sings Your love has given me wings Penso che un sogno cosi non ritorni mai piu Mi dipingevo le mani e la faccia di blu Poi d'improvviso venivo dal vento rapito E incominciavo a volare nel cielo infinito

Volare, oh oh E contare, oh oh oh oh Nel blu, dipinto di blu Felice di stare lassu E volavo, volavo felice piu in alto del sole ed ancora piu su Mentre il mondo pian piano spariva lontano laggiu Una musica dolce suonava soltanto per me

Volare, oh oh E cantare, oh oh oh oh No wonder my happy heart sings Your love has given me wings Nel blu, dipinto di blu Felice di stare lassu
