I thought it was an attempt to do a cheap knockoff on China’s Olympic opening ceremony - it was more awkward than a five legged horse!!!

My suggestion for the next SB would be to forget having a musical act, instead have a perfoming act like Blue Man Group or Cirque du Soleil.

Horrible show. Tasteless, vulgar, talentless, and yet, boring.

Paul McCartney had one of the best half-time shows in quite a while. He didn’t get political. He just came out a did his thing. Very good show. And you could understand what he was saying, not like last night’s horror show. Since the game was played at Cowboys Stadium, they should have tried to get George Strait. A native Texan playing in Texas Super Bowl .5 time show.

Halftime show was an abomination. Fergie can't sing worth a darn without a studio. Which means she can't sing worth a darn. I actually like some of the BEP songs on their studio-recorded CDs. Live, though, sucked. Slash and the other guy did NOT save the show.

Commercials were stupid, excessively sexual, homosexual, and just plain boring. Doritos commercials have gotten creepy; even creepier than Burger King's "wake up with the King" commercials. Do Not Want.

Did anybody watch "Glee"? I did not ... trailers looked both retarded and queer.

Great football game, though. Once again: Defence Wins Championships.

A blast from the past, when football was worth watching:

I was a Colts fan back then, but give Bart his due:

From Wiki:

"The First AFL-NFL World Championship Game in professional American football, later known as Super Bowl I and referred to in some contemporary reports as the Supergame,[4] was played on January 15, 1967 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California.

The National Football League (NFL) champion Green Bay Packers (14–2) scored 3 second-half touchdowns en route to a 35–10 win over the American Football League (AFL) champion Kansas City Chiefs (12–3–1). Green Bay quarterback Bart Starr, who completed 16 of 23 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns, with 1 interception, was named Super Bowl MVP."

Half-time performers were:

University of Arizona & Grambling State University Marching Bands, University of Michigan Marching Band, Al Hirt, and the Arcadia High School Drill Team

“So......well at least Green Bay is a Republican town. That’s about the only positive I take away from the result of the game.”

And WI has turned “Red” overall, which is good. Although PA also had their “Red” awakening, I cannot stand that Obama rump swab Dan Rooney, so FY Steelers!!!

Next is my opinion, and it's a scenario I personally do not want to happen but in theory could:

Jeb Bush: IMO, it's a very real possibility he could get the nomination. Why? With Mike Pence not running and IMO Sarah Palin not running, I don't see “that” candidate out there. No one that ran in 2008 should run again - why should they - are they better now? So in a split and fractured primary I can see a “drafted” Jeb Bush getting the nomination. Why? Love it or hate it, he has the name and can raise oodles of money quick and he's Catholic with a Hispanic wife. Would he win? As bad as the “Bush” name is, it's better than “Obama” by a country mile.

and the surprisingly interesting combination of Nsync and Aerosmith.

I'd rather see Run DMC and Aerosmith.

The GLEE “star”, Lea Michelle, was flat. Of the three, only Aguilera is a good singer, despite her voice not being suited for the National Anthem. Bob

I’m in the hate camp. Jeb’s a good guy, but I’m sick of the Bush family “nw tone” and socialistic tendencies. We MUST do better than Jeb. Bob

I agree with you 1,000%!

If my choices were Obama, Romney or Jeb, gun to my head, I vote for Jeb.

These Black Eyed Peas don’t play instruments, can’t sing and look like someones drunk parents embarassing their kids on kareoke night.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are the only band I can think of that rock hard enough for Super Bowl. The NFL needs to get Flea on the phone to book early for 2012.
