My daughter and her husband
purchased a Wheaton Terrier Puppy.
He was shipped to them by air,
And, they had to drive through a blizzard
To get to DIA to pick him up,
Two weeks ago.

He is ten weeks old,
and Friday night, he went out the doggie door
to do his *business*,
found an opening in the fence
and made his escape!

He was walking down the street
when two little kids found him.
They wanted to keep him,
But the parents called the Humane Society
Who came and picked him up.

My daughter, her husband
and my grandaughters were frantic!

And since it was after five
They had to wait until morning to call the pound.

So little (5 pound) Murphy spent his first night in jail!

Murphy is now on *parole* and had better be VERY careful..... (LOL!)

We need to loosen it a LOT, Meg, and get you playing ‘hopscotch’ again!!!

I know about frantic! I am so glad that Murphy was found and is home on parole! He is so darling, yorkie.

Well, that is not him per se (but he looks JUST like that). They have a five year old Wheaton, too - named Rudy - who ADORES Murphy - and was also beside himself, when Murphy went missing. (I think he took on the *daddy* role - and Murphy follows him everywhere!)

The lady at the Humane Society was very mean about Murphy ‘escaping’.....she said they need to have more control of such a young dog, and ALL Wheatons tend to be vicious dogs. HULLO? I never heard anything like that before, and I know Rudy has a heart as big as Prince Charming!
