Defend it until we get nuclear power up and running along with "drill here, drill now!"

Thanks to GopherBroke for this one! FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

Agreed. After that we won’t need it unless its to defend Israel.

As if Obama would. He’ll just tell shipping to enjoy the view rounding the southern tip of Africa.
To: dynachrome
Let them have it. If oil goes sky high Fauxbama will be under intense pressure to ease current restrictions for drilling.
He wont and his presidency will go down in flames

Favor. This is a no brainer at this point. We have to keep things stable until we can get a real President to take charge.

Stupid questions, do not underestimate how liberal Fox News can be. As if being energy independent and losing use of the Suez Canal is an option now. They should have said “No, I will accept $6 a gallon gas” or more.

Before voting, I would like to hear arguments from both sides of the question. I’m really not sure which would be the best answer. I am strongly in favor of drill baby drill and let the oil countries go to heck. On the other hand the canal may be critical for moving military and goods. Maybe it’s not as critical as I suppose?

Deja Vu all over again. I remember the 56/57 Egyptian crisis. Anybody alse remember? King Farouk and the revolt. Then there was the Hungarian revolt.

The Brits took over the Canal for awhile, IIRC.

NUKE HERE, NUKE NOW !Oh, you know that is just going to be interpreted by the DC crowd as a plea for them to drop nukes on middle America.
"Oh look, they WANT to die! This fits our plans well."

Yeah that's really the only value it holds for America. However we'll need it a lot less if all we're protecting in the mideast is Israel.
Europe will hurt the most if the canal is lost but maybe its time for them to protect their own interests.

This would not be worth a drop of American blood. Let those who want to sell us oil deliver it to our ports.

Uhhhhh.....Obama is in office. Not only will he not secure the Suez Canal, he’ll let it fall to China/Russia.
If his muslim brothers make a play for Israel he will not come to her defense.
When the middle east is irradiated and in flames, he will let China/Russia secure the oil wells.
