Our dachshund was just sitting up, begging.

No doubt confused by all the activity, yet we’re not packing up for travel. It’s so confusing.

I think she’s hoping for Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men.

I’m sure it is confusing, after all, it’s ...

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!

... in dog years.

Tell your Dachshund that she is lucky to be in such a peaceful place. Not everyone can be blessed with the NicknamedBob Family.

I hope you have a merry day!

I was up on my rooftop yesterday. As of then, there was no evidence of the reindeer’s pause.

I’m sure you enjoyed the faces on your kids when they unwrapped the gifts. I miss those days...

Merry Christmas, Allegra! What a cool building.

Seaman Anoreth made it home in time for church, and now has gone to bed. She was on fire-watch for three days, and also has a dreadful cold. We’ll wake her up for supper, if possible, and if not, we’ll save her some for tomorrow’s breakfast.

"Seaman Anoreth made it home in time for church, and now has gone to bed."

Rest and comfort at home at Christmastime. What could be better?

Merry Christmas, Robert!

No snow, no rain, no wind, just grey.

It is sunny with a few clouds today 55 0. We had about 8" of rain this last week. The ave yearly rainfall is around 10". My mom gave a box with 20 lbs of rocks for Christmas.

"No snow, no rain, no wind, just grey."

My gift to me on my last birthday ...

Halfway Somewhere

Between your "middle ages",
And one foot in the grave,
There is a middle ground of sorts,
Not anyone would crave.

It is a gray place, notably,
For gray-haired folks to dwell,
To think their gray thoughts silently,
And ponder on a spell.

The land between your youthfulness,
And what may yet transpire,
Filled up with empty yearnings,
Of ambitions not grown higher.

The warming glow of sunrise,
Upon one's back at morn,
While on the dim horizon,
Dark shadows stand forlorn,

And while the sunlight brightens,
Our eyes grow dim to match,
Such that the future clearly hides,
The hopes we hope to catch.

We persevere to follow,
Each step beyond its mate,
Until we stand at our path's end,
To gaze upon a gate.

What burden have you borne,
To lay upon the morrow?
Has gladness been your gift in hand,
Or is it one of sorrow?

For all this journey serves the need,
Of piling up life's treasure,
The coin delivered at the toll,
Is what your life will measure.
