Do you recommend the museum at Mt. Vernon?

The new museum is very well done with many original items. If you haven’t been there lately you’ll be amazed at all the improvements. The estate is privately owned and makes a mint with the millions of visitors each year.

Doc, I highly recommend Mt. Vernon.

The manse has been restored and you can tour two floors.

The outbuilding as well.

The museum at the entrance is newer and very well done.

Plan to spend about four hours there. You can eat there as well.

Cost is about $ 13/adult, but is well worth it. You can walk around everywhere at your own pace.

Go on a nice sunny day.

I highly recommend Monticello as well. Since I have been there last there is a new visitor’s center.

Washington and Jefferson—giants among men, yet only two of an entire generation of outstanding leaders and patriots.
