"The T-Rex probably was a carrion eater given his centroid of balance and his small forelegs." Sharks and snakes have even smaller forelegs.
My theory is that T-rex hunted like the Komodo dragons of today - ambush with a quick bite and then track the prey until it drops from blood poisoning. I'm sure, like modern-day lions, that T-rex ate plenty of carrion, too.
