I have to admit that I love all the RH shows.

I don’t particularly care for the ladies from Atlanta.

I am squeamish about these from D.C. especially after the last airing which was mostly about legalizing gay marriage.

The resident gay guy, and though there are many on the show, he seems to be THE ONE, was upset to learn that the black couple are opposed to gay marriage. He went so far as to say that he couldn’t be friends with them anymore since they didn’t support his civil rights.

I had a feeling this would be nothing but a liberal propaganda show and that’s what its been. First about health care, now gay marriage and of course, the one possible Republican is a social liberal.

I probably won’t watch again.

I like the shows just in a rubbernecking sort of way. I can’t believe how clueless and out of touch these people are with everyday working class America.

It explains a lot.

Having watched several episodes of the California and New York franchises, basically these ladies need to be taken to the river and drowned. It would be a mercy to them.

And a Beverly Hills franchise is set to broadcast soon.

Yes, it’s like watching a train wreck.

The DC show is the worst... an hour long Obama/liberal love fest.

And Stacey couldn’t think of a reason why she opposed homosexual marriage?? Then she turned around and equated it with the black equal rights struggle. She needs someone to give her a brain.

It’s pretty simple.

Thinly slice one good sized leek, cover with water and boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and drain real well.

I use frozen chopped spinach, about 5 oz, cooked and also drained real well.

Take about 1 and 1/2 cups of left over ham and dice it to about 1/2inch cubes. Saute lightly in a tbs of butter. Add the drained leeks and spinach and saute another minute or so.

Spread mixture out in a deep dish 9 inch frozen pie shell, unless you can make your own, which I can’t, lol.

Sprinkle one tbs of flour over the meat and veggie mixture.

On top of that spread out 6 oz of shredded Swiss cheese.

Lightly beat four eggs, I actually use two whole and two whites, add to that 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of pepper and 1/4 tsp of ground nutmeg. Two tbs of brandy give this a really nice flavor but you can omit it if you want. Then add one can(12oz) of evaporated milk and stir together.

Pour over the mixture in the pie shell. I use a fork to make little pockets that the egg and milk can get into. The pie shell should be real full after this.

Now I have a pre-heated cookie sheet that I have sprayed a little Pam on so any drippings don’t stick. Carefully, place the pie shell on the cookie sheet and bake at 375 for between 55 minutes to an hour. When you insert a butter knife into the center, it should come out clean. Let it rest about 5 minutes before you cut it.

I promise you this quiche has a lovely flavor, and is very aromatic. It’s a little labor intensive, but it is a great way to use ham leftover from Christmas or Thanksgiving or anytime you cook a ham.

The funny thing is, Stacie is the only one I like at all. Mary seems nice, but she’s a little kooky, the Salahis are just plain odd and come across as grifters. Cat is British, enough said. And the other one, can’t think of her name right now, is a sanctimonious whack job.

BTW, if you have never worked with leeks, they have to be sliced lengthwise and washed thoroughly as they tend to have dirt in between the layers.

I hope you enjoy it. It is my favorite and I’ve been making it for many years and actually did that from memory, which didn’t take too long, lol.

Make sure to drain the leeks and spinach really, really well.
