I could see how that would have a profound influence, but this is a very unhealthy choice.
It’s possible that she had previously experienced another or other events that affected her ability to function normally. She should have gone into therapy, not chosen this unfortunate lifestyle.
She does not look well at all.
My crackpot theory is - do not want to “risk” the chance of more kids, jerk of a husband who can’t get the job done (and probably does not try), lastly the whole “I want companionship” thing. Many women are REALLY hung up on companionship. Just my couch observations but I have discussed them at great length and many women say - probably.
Strange I have been noticing the same thing. I had a shrink tell he thought that at mid-life crisis men revert back to their early days of wanting to drive fast cars and chase skirts and that girls kind of regress to their “slumber party” and “practicing kissing in their underwear with other girls” days.
I just tend to think that unlike guys, girls develop very strong emotional, intimate and very physical relationships with other girls, which spill over into sexual relationships easier.
I see “straight” girls holding hands or whispering in each others ears or sitting with their bodies touching all the time, none of which I could stand if one of my buddies did it to me.
My 40yo wife has 3 best friends 2 of which have become bi-curious recently. And when we go out these days, she gets flirted with by girls as often as I do. But then again, we live in Austin so…

Hey, they're married. How could you miss the rings? Also, the sex of either party is indeterminate, so it could *cough* conceivably be a hetero couple.
I’ve never seen stats (and have no desire to google and look it up) but I suspect lesbians have much less sex than gay men. Sometimes I wonder if these arrangements aren’t simply more about companionship than about sex. Heck, I think a lot of older hetero couples don’t have a lot of sex either.
