Well, we aren’t trying to rack up brownie points with God, just helping someone in need.... I honestly don’t care whether or not I get credit for it in the judgment. Remember the story in the Bible where God commended people for serving Him, yet they said “when did we do this?”. It was when they ministered to the helpless - they obviously weren’t doing it to please God or to gain merit, but because it was the right thing to do.
Back at you for post 128. I tried several times to compose a reply and then I just deleted them all.
You may not care if you get credit for it in the final judgement but the people you are not sharing the gospel with may care in the final judgement.
“You have a right to abortion too. It don’t make it moral or ethical.
I missed the part where you explained what is immoral or unethical about burning any book???
Could you review that with me again please?
Nothing wrong in doing the right thing, but then again doing what is right in one’s own eyes, isn’t always the same as what is right by Divine standards. When we perform what is right through faith in Christ, we allow His standards to prevail. Reads as though a great opportunity is available to present a witness to those whom you seek to assist.
