NEW DAY
This is the beginning of a new day.
God has given me this day to use as I will.
I can waste it,
Or use it for good.
What I do today is important,
Because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes,
This day will be gone forever,
Leaving in its place
Something I have traded for it.
I want it to be gain not loss;
good not evil;
SUCCESS not failure;
In order that I shall not regret the price
I paid for it,
Because the future is just
A whole string of NOWS!

Thanks Conor. The lady that posted it on another site, said that before every game they played in high school, they recited that poem. She said she still says it, to herself, every morning, when she wakes up!

Thank you, JC. Here is the poem that accompanied that graphic: (I got mine from another source)
It’s a new morning
It’s a brand new day
The morning dew seeps in my soul
Drops of sweet yeasterday memories
It’s a new morning
To this journey through life
Today I walk on cloudy ground
Today I love myself, today I love you
It’s a new morning
Slowly waking into a fresh new dream
The forces of light illuminate my life
With the promise of a brand new day

GOOD MILITARY MONDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
The Soldiers Code
1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.
3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.
6) I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, August, 1955.

Billie, Thank you for today's sweet Opener.
I'm sorry that I didn't give you credit on the above post;
everytime I tried to add it, the table would mess up. :(
All ... Billie sent me the above graphic about 10 days ago.
I saved it for a day that I could spend a little time here.
I couldn't get her name on the original post without messing up the graphic.
Thank you again Billie.
I want to thank everyone of you for holding down the fort
while I was busy last week.
I appreciate YOU!

How often ... if ever .. do we pray? IE
I thank God for You fellow freepers,(child, spouse, friend, parent, partner in business,neighbor ‘by name’) daily, and cease not making mention of you in all my prayers.”That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in knowledge of him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us, who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. ...

Ephesians 1:15-19
Yesterday, in Sunday school, this is the prayer of Paul to the Ephesians, 1:15-23. ... the Lord inspired me to see how great a daily blessing this is to those we have in our life and care about and love.
this is the whole of it
___________________________________________________________
Ephesians 1:15-23 (King James Version)
“
15.Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16.Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17.That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18.The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19.And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20.Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21.Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22.And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23.Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”

Oh, I love this one too, yorkie! I do love poetry! Isn’t it terrible that I’m going to have to do some work now. I’ve been on quite a bit today and it about noon here and the work is waiting for me. I’ll pop in when I can!

To: yorkie

Thank you, Yorkie.
I'm hoping to be here more this week than I was last week.
Our family reunion was great.
It is always good to see the great-nieces and nephews.
We missed some that are out of the area but we still had a nice gathering.
Thank you for the poems that you shared with us today.
Wishing you a great day and a beautiful week.
