NEW DAY

This is the beginning of a new day.
God has given me this day to use as I will.
I can waste it,
Or use it for good.
What I do today is important,
Because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes,
This day will be gone forever,
Leaving in its place
Something I have traded for it.
I want it to be gain not loss;
good not evil;
SUCCESS not failure;
In order that I shall not regret the price
I paid for it,
Because the future is just
A whole string of NOWS!

Thanks Conor. The lady that posted it on another site, said that before every game they played in high school, they recited that poem. She said she still says it, to herself, every morning, when she wakes up!

The Soldier’s Code

1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.

Yesterday, in Sunday school, this is the prayer of Paul to the Ephesians, 1:15-23. ... the Lord inspired me to see how great a daily blessing this is to those we have in our life and care about and love.
