According to SK media, it was reportedly not seen with naked eyes, but by instruments(radar?) If they shut down airports and rerouted air traffic, Chinese authorities must have taken it seriously. Extra paranoid at work or was there really something out there(not necessarily UFO,) which they covered up?

Likely a test of a military plane, not one of ours.
IIRC, very few UFOs leave a solid radar signature.

Funny you should say that — it’s a subject which the UFO advocates never discuss in a comprehensive manner. Some of the most famous “sitings” begin with radar contacts, eg Washington in the early 50s and Tehran in the 70s - others have none. Seems like they kinda like to have it both ways.
