Hastur, Hastur, Hastu...
Meh... Even I’m not masochistic enough to finish that one.
Is it soft and squishy, with lumpy granules in it?
Actually, you shouldn't touch it. You don't know where it's been.
Or worse, you shouldn't touch it because you do know where it's been!
Just ditch the rice and raw fish and eat the seaweed. It’s good for you. LOL!
That’s where my crazy glue has been going. I’m hiding it.
Cyber gets his pressed coffee in the morning. Nothing boiling goes in his mouf.
Good morning. My son made the coffee. It’s ... uh ... hot. And dark brown.
Hello. Having a Guinness at the yacht club and watching the Singapore Navy (Army, Air Force?) fly their jets around. They have quite a few. F-18s, mostly. They go over in formations every so often..seem to be training at escorting passenger aircraft. I’d have liked to fly for the Air Force, if I wasn’t too short. Not that I don’t like the Coast Guard, of course.
May get a steak sandwich or something later.
Good morning. Have a Guinness for me, too. I’m Reducing!
Last night was the going-away party for the Cramers. They’re going to move while their sons are at Boy Scout camp, which seems like a plan to me. Your dad has gone to his sailing class this morning, and I’m coordinating swimming, camp load-up, and Spanish choir practice, with help from Ash.
Jets are nice while they’re in the air, but ...
Any word on when you’ll move on?
Seaman Anoreth ping to 748. Living the life of Reilly (or Raffles) in far-off Singapore ...
Everyone at church says Hey. Jane and Jane, who used to teach your Sunday School class. Marilyn from the liturgical ministers committee. Cheryl and Martha. Marilyn told me that Mr. Charles, the really old one, used to be in the FBI and spoke Russian, back when that was really interesting.
Ash would be happy with camp, I’m sure. I need to learn to sail before I get my boat for living on. When I make petty officer, maybe. Seattle isn’t the nicest place for sailing.
I’m mainly reducing because I quit eating the food on the boat after seeing what they did to chili. The only issue with this is that I may lose a bunch of muscle, which I really don’t need to do.
We head home the week after next, I believe. Can’t wait. Still no word about the stops at Midway and Wake. The captain, I hear, really wants them to go through, so odds are they’ll happen. He likes stopping at historical sites and etc.
Ah, like going on a car trip with Grandmama.
Tom Selleck is in the latest issue of "American Cowboy." He's 65 and looks great. Make sure you eat some protein at the club, and exercise.
Ash is lying on the floor, breathing. I think she lost all desire to live when your dad left early this morning. I'll have Bill carry her out the door to Go if she doesn't get up soon.
Yes, except that he drags an entire 175-man crew with him on his visits, whereas Grandmama only takes you, me, and whoever is the baby at the time.
Ash will perk right up if you offer her a piece of cold bacon or some scrambled eggs. Or a beer, but it’s probably too early in the day where you are.
Of course, as Mr. Hopkins says, “Rum (beer, wine) gets a man’s heart started in the morning.” So it should be fine after all.
They’re having flamenco guitar at the club. I’m not understanding this, as Singapore was settled by the English, but ah well.
Asians are fond of flamenco, for some reason.
Can you apply for a different boat or some other kind of post after a while, if you don’t get into a school?
Ah. We just finished a movie set in Russia, late 19th century. I tried to explain about Rasputin and so forth, but nobody would listen to me. Illiterates.
Could you find the song on Youtube, “Rah Rah Rasputin”?
I think after 3 years I can apply for another station. They really want you to go to land stations, but if I get the XO and Captain (whoever it is then; officers only do 2 years per billet) on my side, I may be able to get another ship. I’d really like to go to another 378, but not as a non-rate..I’ll only do that as a petty officer. GM’s have to get qualified on a bunch of guns on 378s, and the earlier it happens the better it looks to make second class. In any case, there are a few out of Charleston that would be nice. Get off the West Coast, which I hate. I’d hate California more, but Seattle is pretty bad too. Even if there are vampires there.
That’s it - I couldn’t remember the band. You’d probably like Charleston, although I didn’t want to move there. It’s different when you’re on a boat instead of trying to afford a house for 10 people.
