Sounds interesting.
Tom and Elen are dropped off for their last day of speech camp. DP’s gone to another sailing class, and Bill is somewhere, having arranged his own transportation. Later I’ll go back to Monroe to watch Tom and Elen in the practice debates.

Actually, her name is the same as one of my nieces, who is from Chile.
And since I have relatives in Mexico, with the same last name, I have a hunch there is a connection. Genealogy is great!

It’a what happens when some of your ancestors were polygamists!
I used to think I was related to half the people in my home town. Come to find out, it was more like half the county.

Some of my relations in Missouri were married several times, but they didn’t have lots of children. Uncle Frank was married 4 times, iirc, but had no children with any of his wives. Cousin Evelyn was married three times, had only two children.

One grandfather had two wives (that we know of) but 10 children from each. One wife lived in Canada, the other in Mexico.
Family reunions when I was a kid would fill the city park.

One wife lived in Canada, the other in Mexico. It's amazing that he even managed to visit both of them, ever, much less father 10 children with each!

"It's amazing that he even managed to visit both of them, ever, much less father 10 children with each!" It is my goal to have everyone's eyes opened to the possibilities emanating in all directions from even the most innocuous of statements.
The resulting confusion in communications will make the ultimate takeover of the world so much easier, as well as puzzling to witnesses. "Why bother?", they will wonder.

I must do something about this!

Having a hard day, Darks?
Could be worse ... Frank is waddling around muttering, “Teeth ... teeth ... TEETH!” And he gave his food to a 3-headed plastic dragon.

He seems to have spent up to a year with each wife, then went north or south to visit the other. How many he had in between is (a best guess) three. They may have gotten the best of it, say, if one was in AZ, one in UT and one in ID.
“Plygs” were inventive and clever.

We call him “Dientes Malditos,” loosely translated, “Curse of the Teeth!”

Household staff would be good, under the circumstances. My father was away for up to a year at a time, but Mom had only the two children, and no farm to keep up.
