Spent a couple hours reading through the e-mail backlog from one of my committees. A little progress being made at least.
Well, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go buy dinner or not, and I knew I wasn’t going to eat lunch because I had to go buy some new uniforms. And make another attempt at getting my new computer out of the mail trailer. I completed one quest achievment, but the other is taking longer and is much more complex.
Now I’m trying to find a Guild of Calamitous Intent shirt, with the idea of buying one at some point. Wearing shirts that nobody knows what are is fun. Also considering whether or not to go see the new making fun of Twilight movie. Depends on whether it plays before midnight.
Ah, the array of choices presented to the unattached young adult ...
Are you sure your computer is in the mail trailer? Checked the routing with Best Buy? I bought Scout uniforms for James and me yesterday. I suppose I’ll have to sew patches on them ... what a snooze. You’d think after all the bazillion patches I’ve sewed on other people’s uniforms, someone else could do mine.
You should go to the movie and write it up. Your review of the one you saw in Singapore was a pop sensation.
I found the outline for a paper that I started at some point. It’s about how pagan heroic figures are better role models for teenagers than Twilight characters or Justin Beiber, who sings like a girl. The primary examples were to be Gawain and Cu Chulainn, and I was looking for someone who didn’t sing like a girl. Every single Norse hero is also a poet.
...I’m pretty sure I was drunk when I started writing it. The letters are half in runes and it rambles somewhat. Has potential, though.
I checked earlier and it said it arrived at the address and was signed for by a person named ‘Luna.’ I’m 95% sure it’s in the trailer, but I can’t get it out.

On the subject of not singing like a girl..
I think you're positing a false dichotomy there: there are other choices!
There is very rude language in that.
Choices..of..Justin Bieber types? The Jonas Brothers are the same thing, I thought. Or related to Justin Bieber. How do you spell his last name?
Pagan figures are better role models than most other characters that I can think of.
Oh. Oops. I meant to post the cover of Bad Company, seen somewhere on the right of the screen. Although my point is still valid. Non-girly singing.
I think it’s “Bieber.” I meant there are other potential role models: Thomas Sowell, Oliver North, and so on. Of course, they’re old.
There’s a hummingbird out the window bitching at Jake.
Yes, it certainly wasn’t girly! And neither is Bad Company. I forget who Tom said had done a cover ... Eddie Van Halen? That might be girly.
One can be a typo. Two is a misspell.
Your mother may be reluctant to point out your spelling errors, but I am insulated by distance.
Besides, I have an avuncular interest in the success and awesomeness of my Butterfly Warrior.
Here's how to remember the correct spelling: Surprise should have an R in it, just like the White House. Spelling it "suprise" makes it sound like "soup rise", which is gorge.
I had a "suprise" with the last Presidential election.
Oh. Well, yes. But I can’t go over all the potential role models. I’m purposely aiming to incite all the goofballs that go around peeing their pants about how JK Rowling was influenced by the devil and therefore fantasy in which the good guys cast spells will lead middle schoolers to paganism and devil worship. Heheh, they should read the Dresden Files. Harry Dresden casts lots of spells.
I was drunk when I made the outline. It needs to be rethought. There’s a sentence that says something like, “Cu Chulainn drinks the blood of his enemies from their skulls and is therefore much less gay than the ‘vegetarian’ vampires in Twilight.’ Only the writing is prettier. I have nice prose at midnight after alot of whiskey, it seems.
Wait, what?
Thomas Sowell was being interviewed today on the Rush show, by guest host Walter Williams. I think Doctor Walter has the same kind of respect for Doctor Thomas that I have for Doctor Walter.
Anyway, Thomas Sowell has a new book out, today I think, "Dismantling America".
You might want to add it to your reading list.
For all I know it could be "Beeber" as in "Stuned", but the first of my German class conversations began with "Guten Morgen, Fräulein Bieber."
I was accused of having rained on the President's parade in Martha's Vineyard yesterday, in my role as the Imperial Weatherman of Earth and Mars.
You were also suspected of having an influence. So I dealt you in.
I said that you were my butterfly. In idly visiting distant locales, you may have initiated a wandering eddy in the air currents of the South Pacific, in the manner of "The Butterfly Effect", and been unwittingly instrumental in causing the bad weather in New England.
It's all very logical.
You need to read back in the thread some dozens of posts.
"Butterfly Warrior" -- that's rich, NnBob!
Well, I am about to walk up to the Borders. I’ll look for it.
Oh. I thought it was Darks’ spannerwenching butterfly. My error.
