And now you have FReepmail.
See? Never boring. Er...*kof*
OK.
Last night I dreamt I was living in my old house back East, but looked out the front door and wondered why the Christmas decorations, including a faux tree, were up in August! "Christmas is coming"?
See?
We have “Captain Blood” and a set of “Monk” episodes in today. I can get you some more Netflix months, if you need it. Let me know! A person shouldn’t be without video!
Would you like to borrow “Space: Above and Beyond” with the incredibly gorgeous James Morrison? I could lend it to you for a few dollars postage, as long as you sent it back someday.
Si.
A carpenter is supposed to come tomorrow evening to look at fixing the back door. We can’t go on vacation with the kitchen flooding every time it rains ... if it’s not fixed, we’ll have to go around the back and duct-tape it from the outside!

We're sitting off Hawaii doing flight ops. The helicopter landed on the flight deck and immediately broke down. They got it working again, though. My cell phone won't work. I'll fix or break it tomorrow during my duty day. I found my old Ipod that works still. There was a waterspout. My marks came back. I did pretty good. Someone seems to have noticed that I forget what's going on and work for eighteen hours straight if left unsupervised, so I got points for 'stamina' and 'adaptability.'
The food continues to not be any good. We're out of fresh fruit and vegetables, except for cabbage, and the milk is getting a bit weird. I'm going to Chili's in Hawaii. I need meat. Tomorrow, when I get a chance, I'll start routing my leave chit. I keep trying, but people want me to wait until closer to leave.
Hmm.. There wasn’t a water spout last time I was in Hawaii.
We did have a helicopter fly out from the the shore and look at us. We waved and it went back to shore and landed. We decided that we were maybe a little too far from shore and swam back in. We guessed that were about half mile out. none of use have ever heard of a iPod . I think that Steve McGarrett might have had a phone in his car.
Better than having it break down before landing.
"I, Pod" is sorta like "I, Robot" except that instead of being a thinking machine you've become assimilated into the Apple Collective.
it's retractable.
If it is used on a ship wouldn’t be an aye-pod?
LOL!
For now, I have three months of Netflix, but there was such a SNAFU when I took my account off hold that it took most of an entire day to get it squared away. But it’s one movie at a time, which means I have a movie one day and none the next.
“Space: Above and Beyond” sounds good. I’ll no doubt send it back sooner than “South Africa.” I’m half-way through that but the writing style seems to be a little difficult for me to grasp. I may have to send it back soon and just order one from Amazon.
The book is interesting but my brain has days when it just does NOT want to dig in.
Go MEAT! I’d have a very tough time as a vegetarian or worse, a vegan. *blech*
Carnivores rule!
I don’t have an iPod. In fact I’m not sure what they are or what they do.
TC, did Bill’s iPod ever show up?
Hang on to South Africa until Whenever; I finished most of it, and it was from the library sale, anyway. I have “Mexico” to read, if I run short of other materials. I just read a library book about deadly animals, so I may never leave the house again!
No, Bill’s iPod (a digital recording device on which he listens to music) has not turned up, nor has his math test booklet. Maybe they’re in the same place! Maybe they’re in a singularity.
I’ll send you “Space” sometime this week, when I get organized sufficiently. Frank was poorly again last night, and I feel like a zombie. I need to go to the drugstore for more medicine for him.
I was hoping to wade through about 50+ pages of genealogy yestesterday but was tied up with the phone thingy and laundry.
This morning, I’ll take the ignitor out of the truck and box it for pickup while I wait for it’s replacement.
Unnngh!
One day last week, I did manage to sort out documents, but I still have several to send for.
My brother in Mesa AZ thanked me for sending what little I had on my mother and I said, “Well, no one else will do this stuff, so it’s up to me, isn’t it?” I looked at one of the pages I had printed out and it was dated 2-7-2010. This is August. I’m just past 3000 entries and have at least that many to go. Maybe more.
I need ink. I need to get some film developed (Walmart doesn’t do it any more) and I need to scan some older photos and I need to transcribe about 20 years’ worth of my journals (edited, of course!) my personal history and my paternal aunt’s personal history.
Wish me luck!!
