Another “cool” day today, “they” say. As long as the humidity is down, I’m good. I hate sweating.

Good morning! Thanks for the birthday card! It’s almost 90 here already. We need to go to Walmart.

It’s 88 here, and I’m not sure what the high will be, but the temps will fluctuate for the next few weeks, becoming very hot, then cooling off ten or 12 degrees, then back up again until the monsoons are over.

There really hasn’t been much in the way of rain here, but where there was rain, it has all washed into Lake Mead, so that’s good.

97 here. Elen’s friend from church came over, and all the girls are going to the pool with lots of sunscreen on. They made DP bring his pinkeye home from work, again, so he’s taking Bill to Target to look for a new bathing suit. His previous one got stained with mud at the lake at Boy Scout camp, and his friends were laughing at him last night!

I’m going to read a Civil War book to the byos, if I can find them all. We finished the War, but the author added chapters of extra information that didn’t fit into the main narrative.

I’d make DP sleep in the woodshed until the pinkeye was gone. That stuff will circulate until the cows come home and still come back for more infection.

Get some boric acid and have him rinse his eye out with a weak solution of that and water several times a day, have him wear gloves, and give him a wide berth.
