I got some rolls at Sam’s.
Yes, it was. Now he’ll hang around being grumpy because he’s tired.
It’s a guy thing.
They lean young.
“lean young?” LEAN?
*sheesh*
My bad. LEARN young.
Makes sense.
Mine is evidently not so severe as to REQUIRE all manner of adjustments.
I just know that if I go without sugar for too long I can get a headache and even dizzy if too much too long.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODNESS
HAPPY BIRFDAY. I FORGETTED.
Hope it’s not happy barfday! LOL.
Moderation now . . . moderation . . .
Olive Garden . . . Italian doughnuts and chocolate dipping sauce . . . MMMMMM
What was that about moderation?
Not sure when I’m coming that way again. Montgomery College, where we have met for untold years, is now charging for meeting rooms so we’re going elsewhere.
We did, but it was way too short.
Actually, sugar is probably the worst thing you can eat when your blood sugar drops, as sugar causes a spike, which will then cause another rapid drop.
When you get a hunger headache, or get dizzy if you haven’t eaten for a long time, your best bet is to eat protein and a small amount of carbs. Half a banana and a slice of cheese, 4 oz of apple juice and some cottage cheese...and eat 4-6 small “meals” a day rather than three normal sized. Call it “snacking,” if you like.
Eat a regular meal in the evening, and for lunch, but not as much as you normally would, and eat the snacks in between, including between supper and bedtime. It will take a while to get adjusted to it, but you will feel better and lose weight in the meantime.
I try to keep cheese and hard-boiled eggs around, and not too much in the way of white breads/starches. The idea is to never allow yourself to get hungry.
Thank you. I’m having a small Restorative on account of the Failure to Sleep problem. DP and Bill took Frank for a car trip, but he *still* wouldn’t sleep!
My friends will be over shortly. Their dad works a graveyard shift at a bank, so they’re used to a weird schedule and won’t get tired the way I do!
I do pretty close to what you suggest.
I don’t have a super sweet tooth. Though I like Hagen Daz.
Don’t like candy or a lot of other sweet things.
Thx thx.
BTW, I confuzzed . . . are you part of the Tax Chick household or a different one??? I forget, if I ever knew.
LOL
Hmmmmmm . . . .
run em around the block is not always an option.
I don’t like sweet things either, so when I crave them, I know my sugar is low, and I need to get back on track.
No, I’m only part of the TC household by desire. I spent nearly a week with them and enjoyed every moment of it.
It’s an awesome place to be!
I gather that!
So, you’re in the Seattle area?
Great area.
Wish there weren’t so many volcanoes ready to blow their stacks . . . and faults ready to jiggle. Love Seattle Center. Was at the fair in 1962 when I was in Jr High.
Mother-in-law lived there.
It’s too hot for block-running, but a few are going to the pool, and the rest out back to play in the sprinkler and with water guns.
Certainly worthy goals and activities. LOL.
That’s sionnsar in Seattle, and Anoreth when her boat’s “at home.” ‘Face lives in Las Vegas, NV.
Do you have to have a map to keep everything and everyone clear?
Goodness! Thanks.
You are in California, aren’t you?
No, I’m in Las Vegas, NV...actually, Henderson, which is just southeast of Vegas. I’ve been here most of the last 30 years and really like the area I live in.
I did live in Puget Sound (Olympia) for 15 months while my late hubby was in Saudi Arabia, but the climate is far to cool and wet for me.
I’ve lived a lot of places over the years, being a military, (then aerospace) wife, mom, widow and gramma, but Vegas Valley is my home.
TC is currently in North Carolina. Not to say she will stay put....;o]
