I like to follow the curve of the landscape lawn edging. I end up with these different sized half circles that all meet in the center of the yard. It takes me a little longer but it looks cool.
My wife just wants the diagonal like your’s does.
My wife will also mow the grass quickly and often to deny me the opportunity.
