Hmph. That’s pretty sad.

Extremely, but all it takes is one experience of The Beak Monster, and terror sets in quickly.

Makes perfect sense to me, Darks. I often see things from an animalistic point of view. *snark*

Is Ash feeling better, this evening?

And is Patrick putting his subjective aliens into rigid rows, columns and tiers, according to eye color?

Just asking....

I saw we surprise him and not tell him until he’s already on the outbound rocket...

That's a good idea. Pick him up in a SUV, and drive him to "The Gala" being held in his honour. *snort*

We expect Ash to have a comfortable night, and both the catz are in. Pat is watching “Babylon 5” and thinking deep, alien thoughts. He was hoping Bill would be at camp this weekend, so he could sleep in the room with James and work on his mind control, but Bill didn’t have his Scout shirt and couldn’t go to camp. Unnngh.

" I often see things from an animalistic point of view."

You mean there are those who don't? What is wrong with them?

Let me explain: Michael Shaara had it right; we have two natures, the animal and the angel. That's why he talked about "Killer Angels".

Now I dare anyone to maintain that they have a grasp and command of the viewpoint offered by their supposed angelic propensities.

That leaves the animal. Normally, we do what we want and what our appetites drive us to do. Then we explain it all with what we think are reasonable arguments.

In actuality they are usually just rationalizations.

It takes unusual honesty to admit that what drives you is pure appetite or emotion. That's why I like to admit to such base virtues as laziness. (Example: I tend to be truthful because I'm too lazy to remember all those lies and which people I told them to. So I just tell everyone what I remember about what happened. Not honesty, just laziness.)

Oh, by the way, I have discovered myself to be in Pennsylvania again. I'm going to have to figure out why this keeps happening to me and put a stop to it. The internet connection is too spotty here.

Good Morning!

Wait ... checking ...

Nope. Still Pennsylvania. Fresh air, cool breezes, the distant sound of church bells in the early morning.

.

What the heck am I doing here?

Being in Pennsylvania has got to be better than being in consistent.

It sounds nice. I was at the pool for the swim meet. I’d have preferred swimming to standing at the side sweating ... but I was a “judge.”

"Being in Pennsylvania has got to be better than being in consistent."

That's true. Just as being at the coast is better than being in continent.

"It's very embarrassing to walk out among company and realize that you have forgotten to put on your pants." Tom said briefly.

Photobucket Doing that would've just kilt me.

Afternoon all. Slept in way late, no energy, runny nose, perhaps a virus.

Eh-lo!

No fair getting sick again!
I decided it was cheaper to buy chicken broth than chicken soup, so I have a jar of the crystals...when I start to feel icky.

*hug*

Frank has been failing to fall asleep. We’re planning to go to the pool after supper ... but clouds are coming up in the north, over Lake Park.

Yah. Exhaustion. I hadn't had a really good night's sleep in a while.

But there are things to be done while I'm home. The youngest sionnsareen just bought a bicycle and I had to go adjust the brakes and lube it.

The setup on the brakes was shockingly bad -- toe-in was wrong, contacting the tire casing... (I also hate the way mountain bike brakes adjust -- inexpensive to make but hard to get just right.)
