P.S. I also remember a Red Friday graphic not long ago that you mentioned was so pretty in red and black, but the actual graphic is a dark green with red poppies. It's a jpeg and no table backgrounds are involved, and I'm curious about the colors you saw. This is the graphic:

I use IE so the test and border are green. I remember once NnB complained because the text on one of his poems was so tiny.
I wonder if I should use this size font instead of the default? Would it be too large in IE?
It is +1.

I’m positive that she is very sweet. She is blessed to have a daughter who loves her just as she always loved you. My Mom died at 84 and I still miss her. She and I were very best friends.

Billie, your graphic looks red and black to me with some green fields! Did you use a really dark green? (I really never knew this before!) I know when I use a green font, it shows up green and whatever font color I use, it always shows up that color I chose.
Now on Meg's, her font color looks black but could be a dark, dark green. And on the table backgrounds, the outside one shows up white and she usually always uses color on one of her tables. Her tables always have a color to match her graphic, but this outside one does show up WHITE this time. Go figure! LOL! Maybe she can explain...I would like to know.

Amy, I just looked at the source code of that poem text in Firefox (and also in IE) Here's the thing, as far as I can determine. IE is not as strict with turning on and turning off commands as Firefox apparently is. What has happened is that the poem in Firefox is still in font size=1 (from the date above the opening graphic) because it wasn't turned OFF before the next command of font size=default. I learned to ALWAYS turn OFF a command before I changed it to something else - even a link will often mess up the commands if they are not turned on, turned off, and then turned back on after the link.
Notice when I send you html text for an opening, I always do the date at the top in font size=1, but I turn off the font before the img src command. That way, apparently in any browser, that size 1 font is off, and you could type any other text even without specifying size, and you would get the default size.
Make sense? After EVERY "on" command, turn it "off" before switching to anything else. That should do it, I think. :)
I wish that every browser acted the same. :(

REST IN PEACE, FALLEN BROTHER!

Sgt. Ralph Mena, USA, Died Iraq 4MAY2010
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
God Of Our Fathers

Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in peace! We who remain hold you in high honor. Rest, fallen brother, in this sacred precinct; We who remain keep this place sacred. Rest, fallen brother, among these, your comrades; We who remain keep the watch. Rest, fallen brother, among these who answered the Nations call; We who remain press the fight forward in your name. Rest, fallen brother, lay down thy burden; We who remain have taken up the torch. Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in eternal peace!

It
is FIREFOX then, dang it! In IE, Meg's text AND the first table background are a pretty green that matches the green in the graphic (NOT A DARK GREEN!)
I am typing this entire sentence in "red" - do you see red text? It is red for me. (I turned off the red for the rest of my post.) :)
As for the graphic with the poppies, I didn't change the color from what it was when I saved it - it has several shades of dark green.

Another thing I can think of, jaycee, is that Firefox doesn’t recognize color CODES, and I didn’t look at Meg’s source code, but almost certainly she used a color code “number”, which, if Firefox doesn’t recognize the color numbers, it reverts to their default color, which for text is black.

Re: Meg's table background and text! Why is it then that all those tables she does on Sunday are in gorgeous colors to match her graphic and this one today shows me white on the outer table?? Why are all the ones on Sunday perfect and this one isn't. Makes no sense to me!
Now your sentence is a beautiful bright red!! The rest is black when you turned off the red!! Please explain the difference in Meg's Sunday graphics and this one??? Its making me crazy!

Billie, when I use a color code from that “Picture this Production” (I think that name’s right), it always shows up the one I chose! And I use it a lot.
