In Flanders Fields by John MacRae
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
Tiapam, your post touched my heart deeply, this morning. Thank you for sharing the touching graphic, and beautiful words.

Thank you Meg for your nice compliments! You are so correct about not being able to repay those who sacrificed their lives, for our freedom. And for the police forces who risk their lives to keep us safe!

I agree..I watched many videos some individual tributes and funerals..and just let tears flow...The families and the children...brother service members.. all touch me so.
May God comfort those who mourn such a great loss.

I feel the same way, Meg!! *HUGS* to you!
