Old Car Songs...
“On The Road” sung by John Denver
Back in 1968
We had an old V-8
When it went a hundred thou
We got out and pushed it a mile
(the chorus)
We didn’t know who we were
We didn’t know what we did
We were just on the road
Asked my Daddy
Where were we goin’
He said Son we’ll just follow our nose
So I looked out the window and dreamed I was a cowboy
(chorus)
Met a girl in a truck cafe
Fell in love almost right away
Then the Mercury was fixed
and I had to leave her
(chorus)
Go home
Said the Man in the Moon
Go home
Go home
Said the Man in the Moon
Go home.....
(chorus)
In case you wondered, my monitor is going out, Meg! I’m sorry about baby bird. I remember when new baby birds first get out of the nest and Mama is running around, not knowing what to do. And the babies are squawking loudly too. That always worried me but thats the way it works. Hubby used to explain to me that ‘thats the way it works’.
Like the time the hawk grabbed a little bird from the feeder and I cried. He didn’t like it either but knew thats the way Nature works....LOL! I saw the hawk fly out of my shrubbery and grab it, feathers flying all over the ground..I wanted to shoot the hawk....in my little head!
You tried and thats all we can do!
Thank you all for telling me. Its streaked lime green on my monitor and I can barely read the writing. Since you told me, I now remember what it used to look like. I will have to get that monitor soon!!!!!!!!! Darn it! LOL! I need too many other things first..
Very nice, C.P.!
All different colors! Can read it just fine! Thank you!
Awwwww...how sweet.
BBL!
Now that picture is a keeper for sure. That is my childhood in one graphic. It looks exactly like the store in our neck of the woods in Tenn. Even the people are the same. Where was that segregation we heard so much about? I never saw it when growing up. We all sat around like that together. All the angst about segregation was manufactured in the 60s. I’m betting if the “progressives” hadn’t used segregation as a divisive issue, we would have integrated fully by now, simply by living together.
And he probably is a good dog, too!
I am glad I tried...
I had a monitor slowly die...When I checked archives..I was surprised at some of my neon green and blue frame colors used..LOL
I posted an pumpkin orange Hibiscus thinking it was orange red .
It has yellow streaks with the aqua and orange.
What on earth is more important than your computer? LOL
Thank you for the sweet graphics and condolences for baby Cardinal.
*HUGS*
That lady looks like she’s making homemade pasta, instead of wringing out clothes! LOL!
Glad you liked it, Polly!
*GRIN* So cute!
