You’re right. He is now the set-up man.

Go Rockies!

My wife and I watched over 120 games last year. I have really, finally, started to love baseball. Losing Keli McGregor is a tragic and unexpected loss and remains to be seen how the organization will handle that. But, I have really enjoyed watching them the last few years.

Regards,

TS

I don't follow professional baseball. I prefer the Seattle Mariners.

OKOKOKOK, so they're going pretty well so far... ;-)

Good Luck to the LA Dodgers...

Here in North Orange County, there are a lot of Anaheim Angels fans, but I've been a fan of the Blue Crew since 1958.

You have seen some great pitching in your day then. You lived to see Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale pitch. Thats called a blessing :)

KC Royals 6-9. Where a good year is any year we don’t lose 100 games.

“It just isn’t natural for the Reds to be perennial losers. They always had one of the best farm team systems in baseball. They were always contenders from the late 60’s to the 90’s. Wonder what has happened.”

Marge happened. But, put your worries aside. Everything is pretty well rebuilt and all we need to do is wait for the current team to get a little older. The Reds are in very good shape, just a bit young.

You seem like a baseball guy..

How about Roy Halladay in Philadelphia. I predict he will be the talk of the summer.

Complete game 5 hit shut out. 2nd complete game of the year. THATS AN ACE !

I love complete games

Whittier, Calif., where I grew up, caught baseball fever when the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles. Things really got exciting in 1959, when the Dodgers went to the World Series, and Duke Snider, Larry Sherry and Wally Moon became household words.

During the 1963 World Series, our physical education classes were devoted to watching the games. To keep the peace, two televisions set up on opposite sides of the gym—one for Dodger fans, the other for Yankee fans, of which there were a few.

My most memorable World Series took place in 1965, when I lived in a village near Darmstadt, Germany. Listening to the games broadcast lte at night over the Armed Forces Radio Network station in Frankfurt, I cheered on Koufax, Drysdale, and Osteen as they led the Dodgers to the World Championship over Minnesota in seven games.

Big Z is no ace.

Lou Piniella, is that you? Now that Big Z is the highest-paid setup man in world history, can we tuck Grabow away somewhere where we'll never have to see him again?

LOL. Agree that Grabow surely is a huge disappointment.

I wonder if Zambrano’s demotion is an attempted inducement to get him to ask for a trade. I think he’s real proud and this has got to be hitting him hard.

My brother wondered the same thing. Maybe it's just Lou sending a message to Hendry about the repulsive bullpen he's given him. At least it's added a little drama to an otherwise miserable April.
