LOL..We can be thankful for many, many things in the midst of great turmoil and distress.
Sorry JC, but I’m having a problem with THAT one. LOL
I heard a preacher on t.v. say a short time ago that sometimes when we feel defeated in life and think we don’t have much to be live for, that we should just remember to thank God that “we woke up this morning and He gave us another day.” And I always think of that....as a matter of fact, it was Dr. Stanley! I enjoy him on television.
I know making a gratitude list can lift me up when I am very very low..It is amazing and wonderful how much we have to be grateful for.
Oh Meg, I have very, very much to be thankful for! I just ran to the store to get milk (don’t know how I let myself run out of milk). I was thankful (really) that I was able to do that at 9:00 tonight. And thats just one tiny thing!
Indeed! It is good to remind myself occasionally about all those many things!

Ladies, I am getting FReepmail about ‘gratitude’ and ‘praise’. I am recommending books by Merlin Carothers - “Prison to Praise” and “Power in Praise”.
I have been through many traumas in my life - and his books have been a blessing!

Meg, it is my own personal feeling, (spirit fed and filled) that we MUST be greatful and thankful to GOD for whatever situation we are in.
I thank Him for my home
I thank Him for the clothes on my back
I thank Him for my stocked pantries
I thank Him for my full freezer
I thank Him for my health
I thank Him for my family, and their health and safety
I thank Him for the fact that HE is overseeing everything that is going on in Washington, tonight.
Whatever happens - HE KNOWS........ and it is in His Hands, and for that - I am SO greatful.
You see ..... He is in control - and He LOVES His children - and He is with us - no matter what.
I truly believe this.
What a very peaceful, calm, picture! Thank you so much for all you do for Amy’s Place.
I filled up 3 large pages one time of things I am grateful for...during the worst of times.
God is in control and He loves His children.
