I’m with you, Sis. There is something slightly sinister about clowns. I took my daughter to see Cirque du Soliel Allegria a few years ago. I needed a shot of Jack Daniels to calm my nerves. Talk about sensory overload with their weird costumes and foreign talking clowns.....omg.

And I think that the woman/clown who says that line (about a tv clown... “right after he gets off the air he’s gonna &^%&* that little dog!”) is the same actress who played Aunt Esther.
