Patience

They join me in the cold duck blind,
Or maybe in my boat.
They watch the sky so patiently,
Or watch the decoys float.
They sit so still and quietly,
As if they're made of stone.
They are my buddies and my friends,
I never feel alone.
They look at me, I fire the shot,
They wait for my command.
The chosen one dives in to fetch,
Returns it to my hand.
They then resume their patient wait,
Each hoping for a turn.
They like this more than even I,
So much from them, I learn.

Hi, again! It’s a bit overcast - but mostly blue skies. I was surprised to see some flower seeds sprouting yesterday - maybe there’s STILL hope for SPRING!!!

Where there was a time 1940-1950’s when people (Catholics) ate fish every Friday; that has faded away it seems. Rarely do we hear of anyone following that tradition. Fasting ... Who in the churches of today has fasting? Or teaches it? Jesus fasted and said to fast. So????

Many false ideas have entered. Homosexuality, marriage, living together, abortion, divorce, drugs, addictions, pornography, etc.,

The destruction of the family, the perversion of morality, the revision of history ... all are happening all around us and in the church and for the most part is is not discussed... rather changes are occurring to draw in more attendance ... by rap, loud rock music is played so loudly that many of the adults are leaving because of it. Making good witness in the world is less apparent. We as believers are allowing the subversion in churches as well as in government and society.

MO God, HOLY HOLY HOLY are You. Forgive us our timidity in the face of evil. Release us from the binding of Satan, and have mercy on our souls. Fill us with Your Spirit and strengthen our mind, body, and soul to be pleasing in Your sight. In Jesus name, amen.

And Polly, it snowed again last night and is very cold. The snow is barely blowing now but I sure need to do a few errands. I will put it off a couple of hours but our temps won’t get a lot better today!! Wish I could just stay in!
See you later! (I just checked thermometer outside my back door and its 23 degrees.) I may not go.

Happy Warm Fuzzy Wednesday, Meg.
Thank you for the sweet basket of love.

Thank you for your comments regarding Marissa's drawing.

She saw something on my screen that upset her but she couldn't find it again
after I skipped a couple of pages.
She went to her computer and posted to Yorkie on the January thread.
I had my post deleted. :)

Hope you are having a Delightful Day.

Another favorite banjo song is “Rainbow Connection” with Kermit the Frog:

My daughter loved this song so much, she had the orchestra play it at her Wedding (without Kermit)
