You might have seen these but....

These are quite similar to what occurs occassionally in the high deserts of California.

I don’t think anything could safely orbit the sun due to solar flares. Human and non-human spaceflights.

There are several orbiters around the moon and probably a half dozen around mars. Cassini is out there and New Horizons is headed for a pluto flyby.
