They obviously forgot geology/paleontology/'rock hounding.' There's nothing more manly than pounding on solid rock with a big-@ss steel hammer (known by some in the trade as a "BFH"). You need to wear eye protection (or you'll put BOTH eyes out), and often times haul heavy loads out to your vehicle in a backpack, in bad weather and at high elevations - but that just proves my point...
