Lovely, jaycee...I think you will enjoy the soup..I have frozen some of mine..
Beautiful scene!
Well, its a very good one! And look at that big sled...I could use that...LOL!
I couldn’t believe we both posted cardinals at the (almost) same time. I was actually looking for something with snow - seeing that the country is in a “Global-FREEZING” state.
Checking the weather news, I see that in many Southern States thousands have lost power (Ala, Kan, Fl, Va, W.Va, Tn, etc.) Hope you don’t have any lapse in electricity.
Fresh air! Frozen air! I let her know she was in trouble as I pried her claws off the tree she tried to climb.
Of all days to play escape artist!
I had a jacket on over my nightie...LOL

“1 Corinthians 2:1-16
1. And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5. That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
6. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.”

Revelation 15, is good to read for thoughtful consideration too..

Revelation 15 (King James Version)
Revelation 15
1. And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
2. And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
3. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
4. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
5. And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
6. And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.
7. And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
8. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
God help us in our day, in Jesus name, amen.
No, it didn’t turn purple, its a nice brown soup. But I have it all figured out. Meg soaks hers all night and since I forgot last night, I par-boiled mine about 5 minutes and then let them set covered for an hour. Poured all that water off by putting them all in a strainer and that water WAS purple! I rinsed them really well, then added the water and ingredients. I also added water all along. I also used the celery in mine and Meg said her recipe didn’t call for it. Celery seasons things very well.
I meant to tell yorkie this today and forgot.
Let me tell you, this soup is a winner, absolutely delicious. I had a bowl for lunch. I will be freezing some of mine, like Meg did!
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED. |
Here's my first try at Tokuisei

Hi jaycee, Thank you so much for the beautiful friendship poem. It certainly is God’s precious gift. And to have a friend or friends that you totally trust is also a great assest. It was so nice of you to say you feel like you already know me. Perhaps we knew each other in another life??????? How cool would that be? I expect I’ll be on Amy’s Place for a long time, as all seems to be wonderfully upbeat. Take Care!
O.K. Red it is on Friday!!!
I most definitely support our troops!!!
