Oh, Dolly.....I just read the ping on Carrie, and am praying for her. Thank you so much for keeping us updated.

I keep thinking of Ps.46:10 - Be still, and KNOW that I am God.

Brain injuries take a long time to heal - and every little advancement is such a miracle.

The rain appears to be slowing down, now. Over a hundred homes have been evacuated, near Oak Creek. One lady was rescued from a resort here - as she was trapped in her room (in a resort that had been evacuated previously).

The creek will ‘explode’ in about two hours. (20’ above flood level). I was trapped in a flood from Oak Creek in ‘93, and it was the most terrifying experience of my life. I am praying that everybody has safely left the area.

Thank you. I just read your 'about' page, Taj, and you are blessed to have such a wonderful union with a man you love, and then, to have two great 'furry kids'!

Thank you and remember my Yorkie Grandpups! I will have to get a picture from my daughter-in-law to post on my homepage. They are such sweeties. Of course, ALL Yorkie are.
May you have a good night sleep! I think I may dream of the precious baby deer.

Y’all got snow with your rain and we got a tornado with ours. Guess y’all pay your preacher better than we do.

Neighborly Love
You shall love the Lord your God . . . and your neighbor as yourself. —Luke 10:27

It would have been simpler just to buy a new hair dryer. But determined to save a buck, I decided to fix it myself. In order to loosen the screw that was buried deep in the handle, I took out the ultimate handyman’s helper—my pocket knife. As I put pressure on the knife to turn the screw, the blade folded back—on my finger.

I learned a lesson that day: I love myself. And I am urgent about meeting my needs. There was no thought of, “Well, I don’t really have time to stop the bleeding now. I’ll get to it later.” Also, there was a tenderness about how the need was met. I instructed my first-aid team (my wife and kids) to wash my finger gently and then to put the bandage on in a way that would avoid having the hairs on my finger pulled up when it was removed. My thoughts, words, and actions were driven by my love for myself.

To love “your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27) requires the same urgent kind of love. It’s a love that notices the need of another person and won’t rest until it’s been met. It’s a gentle, tender love that thinks and acts carefully. It’s the sacrificial and compassionate love that a nameless Samaritan had for a fallen traveler. It’s the kind of love God wants to share with your neighbors through you.

Lord, help me see the heartfelt needs
Of those within my care,
And grant that through my words and deeds
Your love with them I’ll share. —D. De Haan

You cannot touch your neighbor’s heart with anything less than your own.

No, not at all, you had to read the entire article and go look at the pdf...and all that legal double speak is mighty hard for most of us to understand. I had to have my husband read it and explain it to me, he taught college, while I was lucky to squeek through HS. Tricare is administered by the Medicare crowd, so it is easy to think they are in the obamadeathcare bill, while it is actually in the DOD bill. The link to the Buyers piece gives a house bill number.

The pundits think obamadeathcare is doa....I don't think so, he is to arrogant to think he can fail, they will just regroup and find a way around the public like with this 18 member panel thing. One way or another they are going to try and cram this down our throats. And seniors, disabled Vets, the disabled and our retired Military are going to take the brunt of the cuts and increased (taxes) fees. The people who can't take on a job to replace lost income.

All to fund his illegal aliens freebies!

Good morning all. This was in my email this morning and I thought ya’ll would enjoy it.

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: “I am blind, please help.” There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, “Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?”

The man said, “I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.”
I wrote: “Today is a beautiful day but I cannot see it.”

Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling¦
And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Last night the roof collapsed
at one of my favorite stores,
Bookman's in Flagstaff.

They had millions of used books, CD's, DVD's, Music, etc.
No pictures of the damage -
But, here's one from inside, before the collapse

Just terrible, yorkie! I imagine there were damages at other places too! Was it snow, plus rain?

Guess I was in bed last night when F.R. came back on! (of course, I did go to sleep in my chair again...LOL!)
