Funny how when I go to the bookstore, I still see Bill Ayers Book Dreams Of My Father over there, how come they dont take that book off the shelves..no one is buying it. Screw San Francisco, they are just pissed that Sarah called them a bunch of elitist pricks(not her exact words but ya know what I mean)
These same bookstores then complain about how they can’t compete with the chains.
I ordered my book a few weeks ago from Amazon and am awaiting delivery.
I can’t wait until SF falls into the ocean and then hear them all screaming at us for help.
Yea, right.
Sorry freaks
California deserves to be bankrupt.
I wonder if they have copies of “Going Rouge” on display?
Retailers should know their customer base, and I can see where this book might not be a huge seller at this location.
But it would seem that ordering a half dozen copies of a book which is causing such a stir would be a bit more prudent- local people that aren’t regular customers might decide to drop by to buy a copy.
The only compensation for being a Democrat is that a person gets the illusion that they are intellectually superior to the rest of the World.
They aren’t carrying Sarah’s book because their shelves are still full of Nasty Pelosi’s book that remains unsold and unwanted, and there just isn’t any room left for Sarah’s book (or anyone else’s book, for that matter).
It’s San Francisco and it’s got a beautiful woman on the cover. Maybe she should have put Todd on there. ;)
Seriously, what a bunch of elitist snobs. Thank God Sarah does NOT appeal to them. She’s going to places like Sam’s Club in little old Washington Pennsylvania. How common!
Enjoy your $9-an-hour wage slavery, Nathan. Although one surmises you probably do.
Well, tolerance on parade.
Imagine how much money you could make if you stood in front of the bookstore and sold Palin’s book to disappointed customers. Anyone know how I can but copies at the wholesale price?

Go to the bookstore, get a big stack of Obama books, bring them to the register then say,”Just kidding” and leave. You know the stores to go to.
I bought her book today at Borders. They had it for 30% off, 40% off with a Borders members card (which I have). The table was pretty well picked over. The guy at the checkout said “I can’t believe how well this is selling”. I said “Well, I can.”
I was surprised at first over the price reduction. But then I realized it had more to do with the economy than anything. Places like Borders, or any book vendor for that matter, should be thankful they have such a popular item right now. She’s outselling everyone; and rightfully so.
Nathan sounds like a snotty, smug little man, but I support his store's right to sell, or not sell, whatever books it wants. If he commits economic suicide in the process, however, it'll make me smile.
Capitalism at work....... Who’d a thunk it.
Apparently they're perfectly free, as is Nathan here, to comment on it despite not having read it. That may be a lot of things, but "thinking person" isn't one of them.
Ah, the beauty of the free market. Many of these stores will go out of business in the next few years.
