Thanks. That makes far more sense than being trapped inside a weather balloon. I don’t know if they use pure helium or some gas mixture inside the balloon, but I didn’t expect him to survive long trapped inside of one.

Yeah, I know its nuts. Brainstorming here.... Yes, it's nuts. Approaching the balloon in any kind of aircraft is dangerous.
I don't know the composition of the balloon envelope. If it can be punctured without fear of ripping, there's an easy solution:
Put a sharpshooter in a helicopter, maneuver within 100 yards of the thing, and shoot a few holes in it. It will land on its own.

And where he comes down. Hope it’s not on a powerline or a transformer farm or in a swamp or a lake or the side of a cliff.

The first signs of hypoxia generally begin at 10000 feet, but being scared and cold will put more stress on the poor kid.

Yeah, I’ll agree it’s a crazy idea. ;-) Unfortunately the C-5 “Galaxy” can’t fly with it’s nose open. With the nose open, the pilots wouldn’t be able to see. Which would be the least of their worries due to aerodynamics and all.
They use to have C-130’s that had a fork looking thing on the front that could catch a line suspended by a balloon and hoist up a person from the ground. Don’t know if they still do.

The way the balloon looks, I dont think there is anyone in there. If he was in there, he might have already fallen out. My cousin is 6 years old, weighs about 35-40 pounds, if a 6 year old is in there, it wouldnt look like that. The boys father is Richard Haley, a amateur scientist who made the balloon to teach the kids about storms

A doctor just pointed out that if the basket is not a separate compartment and is filled with helium, the boy may asphyxiate

I brought up the video just in time to see it land. He’s on the ground.

Crazy Idea; Military C-5 Hercules Cargo plane, both nose and tail cargo doors open (can they fly like that?)
Rig a net amidships across the cargo bay.
Come up behind the balloon as slowly as possible and
swallow it - catching it and the kid in the cargo bay.
Yeah, I know its nuts. Brainstorming here...... George ... put the bong down .. and step away from the keyboard

He is not in there, so where the hell is he. Either he was never in the balloon and he is hiding somewhere or he fell out
To: Sarah Barracuda
It is smaller then I thought.
Was it big enough to even lift a kid?
