If there is nothing in his lease with the mail to preclude his selling his anti-Obama merchandise, I’d take them to court, and demand a jury trial. Let him retire on his award.

Sounds like a great way for a struggling business to break a lease.
You have to put this in terms of unintended consequences.
Who is the loser here!
The landlord. I hope others do the same and that mall will end up in Chapter 11.

I think the Simon Group did this at a Mall in North Carolina. In these times I assume Simon Group is eligible for a bailout.

I agree with you there. This guy either (1) had the world’s crappiest lease, in which he could be booted for just about anything; or (2) he didn’t have a lease at all but was simply renting space 30 days at a time and the arrangement could be cancelled by either side with 30 days’ written notice; or (3) his lease was cancelled without just cause and he should sue.

I think the Simon Group did this at a Mall in North Carolina.I did a little searching, and it does not appear that Simon owns the Mall in Johnson City. Could be owned by a subsidiary of Simon though. I don't know how far their tenacles reach.
I'm surprised that there are any Obambi supporters in that area, regardless.
