"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Just checking in...I won't be full force today but I will check in and out...LOL! Have to get the house back in order and of course, there's errands to run, especially if you've missed several days.

I thoroughly enjoyed my brother and his wife's visit and was so glad their daughter came! What a precious person she is! She and my oldest son hadn't seen each other in about 26 years and they became bosom buddies. He took her everywhere and they had a ball! She and her hubby have always wanted to come to a race and now they are planning to come this coming March. Have to tell you their little story.

They went down to the racetrack and he took her picture under the Speedway son and she took his! This lady in a Jag saw them and drove over to where they were and asked if they would like her to take their picture together. Greg explained about 'not seeing each other in all those years'..they had no idea who she was but Greg asked her was there any way he could show his cousin inside the racetrack. The lady said "follow me"...so they drove to the entrance and she then told them that she was (Sharon) or Mrs. Jeff Burton.

She let them follow her and they drove around the track and even went up on that high bank. I don't know who was the most excited, Greg or Deb! Greg has been to many races but never rode the tracks! Anyway, Greg and Deb got to be great friends. He was off from work for two days and of course Greg's wife was working.

They stayed together and he took her everywhere. That way she didn't get stuck here with us talking and talking..LOL! After the soup and cornbread that first evening (and of course the cake) I obeyed my brother and did not cook anymore. We went out for breakfast and dinner and if anyone got hungry in-between I had ham, turkey and cheese for sandwiches and more cake...LOL!

They left yesterday on their way to Gatlinburg. He called just now and his wife and Deb were going shopping and my brother was anxious to read a new book Deb had bought him!

I was depressed when they left but I got okay and was very tired and of course, took a long nap!

Today I will get things in order again. I tried to look at all my pings this morning and when I looked at all the beautiful graphics and music, I realized once again why I love Amy's Place. I tried to explain to my brother and wife where I spent a lot of time. I told them about Free Republic and Amy's Place and how many wonderful people I had met! I told them about html and neither one could quite understand. I meant to show them commands, etc. but never got time!

I missed you all, I truly did! My computer is running slower than a snail this morning!

Good Morning, Mayor.

Lord, help us see how much we need each other
As we walk along the Christian way;
In fellowship with sister and with brother,
You will keep us growing day by day.
~ Hess ~

Thank you, Rus, for bringing us another ODB lesson.

Wishing you a blessed day.

Thanks, jaycee. Enjoyed reading your post about your brother and sister-in-law's visit. What a neat experience at the racetrack! My son and daughter-in-law would be so envious about getting to meet Mrs. Jeff Burton. They live and breathe NASCAR. Which speedway was it?

JK drove a NASCAR a couple years ago in Charlotte. He is still talking about it!
