Jason Cooke spotted "Nessie" while browsing the Google Earth's satellite photos.

It’s a boat. Bow wave off the front. Stern wave off the back. Engine exhaust down the middle.

Somehow, I do not think this news is going to push “Dead Ted” from the headlines any time soon.

Yup, pending a more detailed photo, I’d say it’s a boat with a wake.
If that’s Nessie, it looks like it’s been dead and bloated for sometime.

Ooh, it must've been about seven, eight years ago. Me and the little lady was out on this boat, you see, all alone at night, when all of a sudden this huge creature, this giant crustacean from the paleolithic era, comes out of the water. It stood above us looking down with these big red eyes, and I yelled. I said, "What do you want from us, monster?!" And the monster bent down and said, "...Uh, I need about tree-fitty."

For what it’s worth, author Steve Alten was interviewed about this photo on Coast-to-Coast last night (yeah, I know they also had an earlier guest talking about how paranormal activity has increased the past 5 yrs due to increased solar activity).
Alten made a # of observations, two of which were: (1) He doesn’t know where the “65-foot” figure comes from — because the Loch has no islands of a given length as comparison.
(2) The evidence he has seen is that the loch is more likely home to a 30-to-50-foot eel.

And why did he not consider some large man made object as a possibility?

How many large boats actually travel the Loch Ness ?

An eel! That actually makes good sense.
True story here...my dad was in the Navy during the Korean War on the USS Wisconson. Told me one day in the N. Atlantic men were calling everyone they could get onto the deck to see a “sea monster”. It was (according to my dad) dark, muddy brown in color...about 3 ft thick with a head “like a snake” and was probably close to 50 ft long as the men judged. Dad said about 100 men witnessed this and they ALL simply attributed it to some deep sea snake or eel. So neat you said that. Could be a great-grandaddy eel that was somehow able to grow to that huge proportion.

That looks like a boat. Question is, what's the thing just below and slightly to the left of the boat?
